My EVE

Insurgency was a primarily PvP alliance formed in Venal (edit - Actually to be honest the alliance was formed while in Fountain and was done so that CELES could enter the alliance tourney, but later after the move to Venal CELES was joined by CORP1 Allstars and others and that is when the history of INSRG that is posted here sort of begins, to be fair. - X.W.) and active from 2007 to mid 2008, which successfully managed to conquer a large portion of Branch against greater odds. Internal strife and the ability to make large quantities of enemies eventually led to being steam-rolled by the Northern Coalition when they arrived home from their excursion to the South during the Great War. After recently joining Faction Warfare for the Caldari State, I have had the priviledge to get to know what remains of Celestial Apocalypse (founding corp of Insurgency Alliance). Many of their old members are slowly returning to their ranks in an attempt to rebuild a once great PVP corporation and doing so within the ranks of the Caldari Militia.

To begin with, I'd like to share one of their video's with you - Outbreak/Celes Apoc vs BoB in Fountain

Id like you guys to share your experiences with Celes (either with or against them) in this thread. Maybe you have some video's you could share? Memories of battles gone by? The laughs you had during your time there? Id like to hear from you (in particular old Celes members), even if you no longer own the character you used during this time.

I remember being in Insurgency while we were blue to Northern Coalition. During that time Morsus Mihi seemed to suffer from an unusually high frequency of 'overview bugs' and there was a point where we were being shot at more often by blue MM pilots than we were being shot at by reds

I was with them from the early days in Venal and during the beginning of heading into Branch. It was a huge amount of fun and darth solo and MECHcore remain, to this day, two of the leaders and FC's I most admire from my whole time in Eve.

Incidentally, the Wiki does need expansion on the Past Corporations list - they forgot Starlancers, the crucible in which Lleugh, the Anti-N00b, was born

I remember welsh wizard and MECHcore being two pretty good missile spammers back in 2007 in fountain, they used to fight bob (wasn't CELES from ASCN?) been a long time, but they used to murder poor xelas a lot, I lost track when they formed insurgency and moved to venal but I remember them in fountain busting heads pretty distinctly.

Essque says hi as he's not playing anymore so can't post himself. It was his best time in Eve, he says

yup i remember them had a few good friends in that corp when i was in DVRN .. hope they re-build and stomp some ass.

i still have a raven in branch when we took some space there...best days for me in insurgency

Insurgency was the first 'real' enemy in 0.0 for me as a bloody noob out in the wilds. Over time i met some as friends&allies.
Its a shame so few things remain of old alliances esp. when you had a fun time with them!
