Hey all o/

So it's that time where I have some money to pump into my PC Big smile

Currently my PC runs a 550ti with an AMD Phenom II X4 and 8GB of RAM. I've been looking at the 660 and it's OC'd big brother the 660ti and I cant decide if the 660ti is worth the extra money, have any of you guys got any experiance with these cards, enough to give me some advice?

Another thing is, if i end up getting the 660ti, i would also need to buy a new PSU as my current 550w only has 1 6 pin power connector, and the 660ti needs 2 Sad

depends on what you need it for. EVE only? So it's not strictly needed. Play other more demanding games (bf3, skyrim, crisys.... ) then it's worth those extra money. Also, at what resolution do you play? How many monitors?

The Kepler series are wonderful pieces of silicon and each of them is worth the extra money. Personally I consider the 660 Ti the best buy from a mere price/performance raio, but the 670 one of the best cards ever.

670 overclocked/pre-clocked if that's what you're using/planning to use it for.

not about avg fps, it's about the minimum fps.

This space for rent.

I was just looking at the 670 actually, seems to be worth the slightly extra money....

I really need to learn to control my spending Sad

in any case don't rush for the "famous manufacturer" but read forums and reviews about the single models. There are few small but remarkable differences between all the different ones. Than again it depends on what you need: performance, silence, oc-ability, sli/not sli, how long shell it last (like 1 yr or "till it dies"), size, heat......

anyway 3 names above all the others: gigabyte, msi and asus. I'd get one of those, be it 660 Ti or 670

yep the windforce is probably the best one of all, very cold, generally (very) good in overclocking (but that depends mostly on luck) and still decently silent. And sexy yes Lol
