Just remembering back to my first day of EVE.

I chuckled the other day remembering perhaps my 1st day playing eve and putting out a call to help with a
beginer tutorial mission where I was being attacked by rats and couldn't kill the last 2 in my rookie ship.
2 ships showed up from my npc corp and dispatched the rats in short order.
I was very thankfull and told the rescuers they were welcome to the "loot" in the rats (I think there was 3 all toll).
I was pretty niave but remember that I couldn't help thinking they weren't all that enthusiastic.
Looking back I realize they were pretty cool for not laughing me out of local.
Last thing I heard/read before jumping out was a discussion between the 2.

Probaby not my first day in eve, but I remember joining a small corp within my first week in the game (on the totorial). The CEO took me out to do some missions and it was totaly awesome. We were in a mission and he was killing the NPC's from a far range before I could get to them. Then he blew up some structures and you would get these HUGE supernova explosions.

That was probably what kept me in the game and buy the game.

XD Nice stories.

My first fortnight in EVE I joined a 4-man high sec mining corp. I thought it was the most awesome thing I'd ever done in any game, sitting there on voice comms with a corporation, making alllll this isk, chewing through the rocks so fast. These guys even had a hulk!!! Then a week later the CEO disbanded the corp because we were getting harassed by a mercenary corporation that were shutting down our mining ops. So I quit the game for 3 years lol.

(That was back in 07 and i was 15 years old.)

When I was new, I bought a Thrasher, and went on to do level 1 missions in Algogille. First mission in, I had to burn away because I couldn't warp out for some reason, and put out a distress signal in local. A Dominix responded, saving my Thrasher.

I died in the next mission, twice.

I remember a housemate of mine got me into EVE when I was still at Uni (plenty of time on my hands...) and i started off with 500k and a frigate that I couldn't work out how to use it....

Then joined a corp 50 jumps away (was a lot back then) who gave me a free retriever and i felt like Christmas had come early...

How much fun it was back then (in 2007)

i started, i saw a titan in the market. thought it looked cool, had no idea what skills or isk really were, wanted to get one. asked in help, someone told me to come toa certain lowsec system for me to pick it up as a free gift! there was no gift...
