No one likes Amarr space though. Caldari is where a majority of highsec activity is, thanks to Jita.

I like it P, got an alt that mines there, systems are nice and quiet and I'm slap bang in the middle of a route between 2 trade hubs.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

The quiet part is nice. It is way too bright for me though. I prefer Gallente myself.

Fairly certain that the tradeoff is you can't get isogen in Caldari/Amarr space

You can get isogen in Amarr Space, mine Kernite.

in lowsec. Or in exploration sites that are often left just as drained as the explo sites everywhere else. Thats the point, Isogen and Noxium are worth a bit more, and are a bit more difficult to obtain.

Nope Kernite is available in hisec Amarr space, 0.5 and 0.6 systems have it in abundance (available in up to 0.7). In Caldari space it's only in losec.

Despite this well thought out and incisive arguement the non-universality of ore source distribution is to encourage movement and trade.
If you want Pyroxeres or Kernite (in particular) in Gal or Matari space, and are unwilling to travel, you must purchase from the market. Scarcity in these regions allows those who may already have exploited the meagre local resources (the Grav sites) to charge more for their ore and that leaves space in the profit calculations for those who are willing to move large volumes from areas where it is abundant. If the prices are effectively the same throughout EVE then it's entirely down to those people ensuring that the distribution of the product is relatively universal...

In general the market is far less flat than implied and that means that there is a payoff for those who realise that many believe, as per your quote above, that "travel sucks" and are willing to put up with a bit of suck for the cash.

Run L4 missions and reprocess the items the rats drop - every mineral type you want there (except morphite since they took the drone alloys out).

Some of us do !

And believe me, we are kissing the feet of Our God for keeping Omber out of our wonderful space.

to get people to go to different parts of space to do stuff outside of their comfort zone?

Obviously we dont know. But if that is the reason it doesent add much from a gameplay perspective

You see that whole actual economy run entirely by players thing that EVE has?

Yeah, that is only possible because of things like this. If any idiot could go out an easily find all the component parts for something and assemble it with minimal effort and assistance, then this game wouldn't have a real economy, it would have a themepark "economy" like all the other MMOs.

Calculate the meager (maybe 400 units of Nocx in a DAY) ISK/hour of that, as opposed to buying from the market, and this "Mine With A Gun" concept is a trap for the unenlightened.

What there's mining in hi-sec? I have been using my alts in low and worm holes this whole time on ABC ores for nothing? Oh wait I get ABC's and no worry's or ganks and you get poop ores and ganks that is why Im in low-sec......

I wanted to paint my space ship red, but I couldn't find enough goats.

I stated in WORM HOLES which are all over low sec also you can get Spodumain in low sec which for all entent and perpuse should be the "little" s at the end of ABC's but its not just pretend it is.

Wormholes with ABC's are all over High Sec too, so your 3rd sentence is wrong. And no, your 2nd sentence CLEARLY states they are found in Low AND WH's, so it's wrong too.

Early European Paleolithic cultures did well because of the Flint deposits that were available to them for tool use.

Try finding Flint in China ........

Omber, Pyroxers, Plagioclase & Kernite all have an uneven distribution, because thats how CCP wanted it and you don't need any other reason than that.

ps
CCP designed & built the game ... just incase you didn't know.

Good post, but the Chinese were the ones who lucked out with gunpowder ! Who needs flint with that around ??

I was aiming for finding some gravimetric sites through exploration, that hopefully would have some nocx roids, but due to my time of play these kinds of sites have already been raided.

Being Australian, my play time is usually the few hours before DT each day. I have no trouble finding grav sites in hisec. You just have to look, and acknowledge that there will be a small number of grav sites active at any time.

Grav sites aren't spawned once immediately after DT. The number of exploration sites isn't depleted gradually through the day.

Not sure how it is with one account, but with one blitzing the missions and another hoovering up behind I pick up way more than 400 nocx in a day.
The isk per hour you get from that dwarfs any you'd get mining (and gives megacyte and zydrine in decent amounts too), so if you need more than what drops just buy it with the income from the bounties / lp's. (assuming you don't run caldari L4's of course).
