I'm worried that if that happened I would be completely screwed, does it?

Webbed no, scrambled yes.

Any situation when you get scrambled is bad news, webbing, actually that can be helpful, as you can warp out a tad faster when you need to go.

If you are going to go into a situation where you are lible to be scrambles, then Warp Core Stabs (WCS) will help negate the situation greatly, however at the expence of seriously nerffing your combat ability. So you have to make the call as to fit them or not depending on what you are doing.

For missions that have scrambling NPC's and some do, then rather then fit WCS, learn to ID the scramblers and take them down first before you do anything else

Always kill the elit frigs that scram/web first, then you can escape if things go wrong.

A new player doesn't really need to worry about it though, npcs don't scramble in low level missions, hi sec belts etc.

Have a hurricane so will be doing lvl3 missions now, but I've been scrambled once before, don't remember if it was lvl1 or 2.

If the elite frigs are at a distance they will be heading straight for you, so your guns should be able to track and hit them. Once they get close, switch to drones if you have them to finish them off. Normally there will only be 1 or 2 in each wave, so shouldnt cause too much of a problem. With missiles, you should be able to take them out anyway, slowly sometimes, however a target painter would help dish more damage to them :)

It also helps to align to a celestial if you are afraid things might get a bit too much for you. The warp scram icon above your hud will give you an idea which ship is scrambling you, so make sure you take that ship out first, then you are free to warp out if needed.

This is not correct.

I was running a lv 2 mission for standings some time ago and I got webbed + scrammed.

Just kill the things scrambling you first. Rightclick the ewar icon above your shiel/armor/hull readout to target those enemies or check the overview for the little ewar icon.

ALWAYS kill the scramming frigates first when you enter a mission.

My tactic has been to always ensure I've got a few drones with me.

When you warp in, target the elite frigates first (as they take longest to lock) and also the BS's. Use your drones to take out the frigates and then standard weapons to take out the BS. My logic for this is the drones are likely to hit the frigates easier than any big weapon and the BS's are doing the majority of damage therefore take these out quickly.

If you're on a mission that has drone aggro then once the frigates are dealt with, bring them back into the drone bay. If not, utilize them to take on cruisers

In the good old days you had to be eagle eyed to spot you were being scrammed.

If and when it happens (including anomalies and belt rats) spot it early and throw your drones on the frigate. If you have a limited tank switch your main guns onto the frigate also. As said in the posts above, spotting and killing the problem frigs is the best approach.

How do you know which one that is?

What is a Warp Scram icon?

Go to the market and search for a warp disruptor. That is the icon.

It will appear right above the capacitor on your HUD (which you can mouse-over to locate the ship doing it), and a tiny one will also appear on the far right of the overview next to the ship.

You should learn to recognize the icons for all EWAR. There are not that many:
* Warp Disruptor & Warp Scrambler
* Stasis Webifier
* Target Painter
* Tracking Disruptor
* Sensor Dampener
* ECM
* Energy Neutralizer & Nosferatu

This.

That won´t happen automatically however, you must make sure that you leave some empty space to the right border of your overview for those tiny icons to actually show up.

Tau explained the "What is the Warp Scram icon" part.

As fro the how you know which one it is.

99% they are the elite frigates.
