I'm looking forward to more variety in w-space fleets, not only T3s with the occasional HIC, Recon or Logi all the time.

The 60-second timer will hardly be felt, getting back to your POS to reship will usually take 60 seconds or more.

As long as Dreads are so insanely effective versus subcaps with just webs applied you will not see variety.

It is suicide to use anything but the uberbufftank T3 against any fleet that might field a Moros. Nothing else can withstand that volley, nothing ..........

It will turn out refitting a ship was coded so that the old ship instance vanishes and a new one is created. Crimewatch changes will make it so capships can't refit from each other in combat.

R&K and C5+ WH anom runners would be pissed.

A dev (Soundwave?) stated a while ago that he wants to get rid of in-combat refitting anyway. Which makes some sense to me. Refitting a ship means that a horde of technicians and engineers go in there with heavy equipment and change vital parts of your ship. Think of replacing the engine of a tank, only a hundred times more complex. And now imagine doing that during an on-going battle...

you don't need to refit for PVE if youre doing it right.
it's a rather large concern for cap vs. cap PVP tho.

T3s are not throw away ships, you should not be flying them like a 50mil BC.

Agreed. Although, to be honest, when they do their planned 'fix' of T3's, I hope they remove that particular penalty (loss of SP). The price alone is a notable penalty. ;)

oh absolutely.
don't get me wrong, I'd love to be able to whelp prots at stuff weekly (it's not like the isk is any issue in WHs) but that isnt what T3s are for in their current state.

Is it true that the Heavy Missiles Nerf is going to hit Tengu`s prices?
If so, our income could be touched a bit....

Smart Tengu pilots (Wow, did I seriously just imply most Tengu pilots are smart?) will start fitting HAMs instead of HML and get better DPS on anything bigger than a frigate.

It was insane that you could do as much DPS as they were to frigates @ >100km

Getting rid of refitting in combat? Sounds like Soundwave Roll

From the realism perspective sure, but ultimately it's just a game. Refitting in combat is just one more thing in a long line of really cool emergent behaviours that have evolved in EVE and it would be a mistake to get rid of it. It adds variety and complexity that makes EVE a richer world to live in.

Tengu hull prices have dropped around 20 mill or so (Jita) since the announcement. Last I looked they were at around 193 million ISK. That was a few days ago.

Maybe. Though I think the argument that you should be commited to what you brought to a fight once you're in it also has some merit.

Thinking of w-space, capitals are more than powerful enough to begin with, maybe the ability to completely change their fitting in combat is a bit too much.

It was rather specifically stated when they introduced T3's that learning how to eject and not loose skillpoints was going to be one of the things that balanced T3's.
