Hello

I would like to ask what frigate would be your choice for factional warfare if you would have unlimited money supply and you could fit what ever you want on the modul slots? I'm going to buy 30 billion isk and money is really no factor for me, and i dont care if i get horrible kill mails, i just want to enjoy pvp. So please dont suggest i start with a punisher, since i got tons of money and i want to spend it on ships and awesom modules. I have lot of money in real life, so i want to spend it on my new hobby.

I dont want to buy character, i want to keep this as my main and learn the game while i train, im in no hurry in that respect. I will buy booster alt that will be cloaked in the system.

So i have two scenarios here, please give your imput on both.

1. (SOLO) What frigate would you buy if it would be free, for faction warfare? If all modules (even the 1b+ ones) are free, how would you fit it?

2. (DUAL BOX) What frigate would you buy if it would be free, for factional warfare if you had booster alt in the system? What stats would you boost and what modules would you fit?

End goal is to have the most powerful attack arsenal possible, so i could solo many ships. I'm not a social person, thats why i'm not looking for a guild.

If cost is no issue, and you want to stick with frigates, then you are looking at Assault Frigates or a Faction Frigate.

Of these, the Hawk, Dram/Daredevil, and Slicer really stand out in my mind, depending on your playstyle. That's not to say that there are not other good ones, but these all tend to offer something that other ships find hard to deliver.

The Hawk combines a serious tank with dual webs. The Dram/Daredevil are the fastest. And no frigate projects dps at range like a Slicer.

There is no amount of money that could substitute player skills and experience. So please go ahead and spend those 30bil on officer/ded/faction lolfitted frigs and come back when you done. Maybe then you will ask for some real advice and have a will to listen to answers.

I'm quite sure that your advice is to use punisher, where i'm from we dont roll with cheap garbage, when im done with the 30b i buy another 30b. Dramiel seems to be good choice, now i just need to make it fastest boat around eve. I hope it's as fast as my ferrari.

Honestly though, go play BSGO where this sort of "game play" will work. For a mere $3000 or so you can instantly have the best ship and most skilled character on the field

I'm assuming where you come from money makes you the best at things. That's not true here.

The punisher is pants for solo as i'v said before (IMHO). But most of the other T1 frigates are perfectly legitimate in skilled hands. The other thing is that pilots who train in standard ships are forced to learn all kinds of tricks which they will later employ flying very expensive ships. Jumping straight into faction gear without skills (SP skills and actual real skills) to use it properly will likely make you LESS effective than standard T1 gear.

For instance you will notice most T2 hulls have 1 less rigslot than their T1 counterparts. This often means T2 hulls must be fit by a fairly skilled player before they will actually outperform standard T1.

Lastly many players in the game will actively hunt you down en-mass if they see you flying a shiny ship under-age. Flying too expensive too early can reduce your combat effectiveness just due to this. Flying ships suited to the role doesnt always mean "good enough or better", sometimes it means "good enough, but not so good i become a target for everyone".

So i suggest that while the Punisher is indeed a bad choice, a Merlin or Incursus would be an excellent platform from which to explore PvP. I'm not suggesting this in order to save you money, but to ensure you get a thorough training. You will find yourself lacking in combat without learning good player skills, regardless how expensive your ship and mods are.

Most people who read this forum have just added you as a contact and will be keeping up to date with your location for the next little while to see what your going to buy them. Make sure you dont buy them anything too nice or they will hound you for a long time.

EDIT : These days Ferarris tend to perform badly compared to many many much cheaper and better designed cars. Penis extensions in life are one thing, but another thing completely in a video game. The only way you will get better is by learning thoroughly, not by spending money. Whatever you buy and whatever it costs, it will be killed by a skilled player in a PUNISHER if you don't have the knowledge to keep it alive.
