why does login take up to two minutes nowadays?

The same happens to me as well. It takes quite some time to "really" get into the game where you are able to actually do something :D

This will not work as it is a connection problem. I am experiencing the same issue and I been monitoring network usage by process. My connection to the game server max's out at 140 B/sec.

So either server is overloaded or there is a network infrastructure problem. It seems that only some people are affected so my money is on a connection along the line being problematic.

Here is a ping test to server:

Do the same tests and open a petition. The more people who complain the sooner the problem link is dealt with (ie made unsexy by devs).
