New FW is still seeking its tactics, we have not seen all.

Still playing that ragged old card, eh?

"New FW" is not so new, coming up on nine months or something, time enough for the average human female to bring a child to term. Let me break it down for you into two simple points, pick one:
1. FW really is that shallow and the farm is all there is. Permanently invulnerable systems and swarms of gunless frigs being chased around by disillusioned veterans.
2. FW participants are the runts of the litter as it were, by far the 'slowest' group in Eve (read: ask doornails for advice before a FW participant). Incapable of grasping mechanics changes and adjusting their patterns accordingly even after more than six months.

I know which one I'd like to believe in .. just sayin' Big smile

I dunno, we got attacked twice by the amarr whilst trying to do a lol roam:

http://rust-in-pieces.org/kills/?a=kill_related&kll_id=16044

http://rust-in-pieces.org/kills/?a=kill_related&kll_id=16054 (sadly the rest got away)

Now, I am not saying it is wise for the Amarr, but you know that if you undock EVE is more fun? Right?

Not as much fun as RP on forums about winning despite appearances, but still fun.

I recently joined FW and all I can say is it has been awesome so far. Pew pew at every corner, hardly a dull moment. It really has me hooked on this game again. I had quit after moving to Nullsec with the promises of Rooks and Kinds PvP but instead found a bunch of carebears docking up at any sign of trouble. Gallente Militia grabs squid face and rapes it. I'm lovin' it.

Good move dude. Null sec living is the most boring way to play Eve.
FW is great fun.

CCP Just need to fix the bug where joining Minmatar FW removes all your high slots and puts active shield tanks on FKN EVERYTHING .

Well yes...the ancillary boosters are OP and getting re-adjusted. Hopefully it puts back the "ancillary" in the ASB. The biggest issue in FW at the moment that I can see...and it will still be true after Retributions. PVEr's still don't have to clear plex rooms to get the button to finish. You still get to orbit 4 profit even if the button is closer to the warp-in.

Only thing that will change is that people in ships that are fast enough will either burn away when someone simply hits local or warp off. Rats in there don't point you, web you...nothing. Even worse is the ability to farm missions with a cheap alt and do them with your DPS main...with the only downside being some standings loss. OH NOES PLEASE CCP NOT THAT!

so, 1 faction on either side will continue to front-run, and there is zero incentive for the losing side to start winning. Nor should there be. The items available from each faction...aside from some ship hulls, are identical. +5's and +5% implants of nearly every kind are available no matter which side you're on. Zainou...a caldari corporation have implants in gallante, minmatar and amarr stores?

shame shame.

There's no scarcity of items. Generic implants like teh +5's are fine across all the LP stores, but corporate specific ones ought to be special. As it is...they are not.

From a PvP persepctive it trends towards the winning side in PvE as we all want that delicious 1337 lootz! Why should I pay 1M LP for a Nav poc hull when I can pay 64K for a navy pest hull or even less for navy phoon?. It doesn't make any sense to every choose amarr in specific.

Reasons not to choose amarr:

1) Turrets use cap
2) They don't REALLY use missiles or Drones
3) They don't ASB tank at all well
4) They don't have ship called the Hurricane
5) They are slow
6) They lock slowly
7) They have the worst tracking of any turret system (I dunno why a weapon that moves at the speed of light can't track...but it can't track)
8) Anything of value you can get from amarr FW you can also get from minmatar FW and you can get useful ships like the SFI and fleet phoon/pest.

I love my Navpoc, but its uses are in large navpoc fleets. The Navy Omen is trash compared to the SFI in nearly every category except sensor strength. And the same can nearly be said for the fleet phoon vs nav geddy.

Navy Caracal is probably one of the worst ships in game on top of that.

So CCP...why should anyone fight for Amarr?

We choose to fight for the Amarr. We choose to fight for the Amarr this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard, because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one which we intend to win one day.

Because you need sov to hold a tech moon, amirite?

Not necessarily, but you want sov if you have any hope of: defending the moon, re-fueling the POS, and transporting the tech.

there ARE lowsec techmoons you know that right? Though most of them are kind of owned by null alliances anyways so no point in adding it into the conversation here..

Last I heard, they were all owned by PL.
