Anonymous exposes internet CREEP!

We've all heard cases of cyberbullying which often end tragically. In this case a young girl committed suicide last week and the outrage against her tormentor(s) that followed has attracted the attention of people that could turn the table on the misfit.

This disgusting little coward hid behind the anonymity of the internet and basically tormented a troubled girl into taking her life. Now he's no longer "anonymous". Twisted

I don't think all the blame is his. He may have been the sociopath who kept manipulating people and turning them against her, but the people who he manipulated are just as bad if not worse for allowing themselves to be used like that. People like him would be powerless if other people weren't so goddamned stupid and easily led.

I'm glad he's getting some comeuppance, but i just know he'll become the scapegoat and everyone else will be let off the hook. Whole thing just makes me sick.

In a way, he's a bit like Charles Manson. Just sitting back and getting other people to do his evil bidding. And look at how we all (kind of) pity the people he manipulated, and treat him like the most evil person ever, when he didn't actually do anything himself. There needs to be more accountability for those who go along with such things, instead of letting them just blame the person who put the idea in their head.

The RCMP are pursuing charges against numerous people. There was this other douche who set up a Facebook page just to troll the issue and later complained to the media during in interview that in essence he's the victimRoll after recieving threats. Free speech for sure but that doesn't mean you don't deserve the response it gets.

And that attitude will actually work, sadly. "He was just a good kid who got mixed up with some bad people, and has already suffered enough, your honor."

There will be no charges or formal punishment for anyone but the lead guy. Mark my words.

Good job Anonymous. But as the legal system guy said, it's kind of dangerous to have hackers acting as as investigator, judge, jury, and publicist.

Up here (I live in the Vancouver, BC area), Amanda Todd's death is a very sensitive issue. This is just the latest in what's being called a country-wide 'epidemic' in the local press.

Cyberbullying. Ten years ago, I'd never even heard the term, and now it's everywhere. Bullies don't even have to have a face-to-face confrontation with their victim anymore -- they can make someone's life an unlivable hell from the comfort of their own living room.

I know that many of you are parents -- talk to your children. Tell them about Amanda, help them understand that this didn't have to happen, and it doesn't have to happen again.

Rest well, Amanda. May your time in the Summerlands bring you the peace that you weren't able to find in life.

Hey look, the internet finally did something that wasn't conceited. I don't trust a bunch of kids and neckbeards to have the logic to determine guilt accurately, but that doesn't mean they're always wrong. If they have proof, which I assume they would, then **** da police, give him hell. Actually, they should devote more time to dealing with people like this, and not in their characteristic "we don't like politics so let's burn everything, we're right somehow."

There's nothing worse than an EVE player, generally considered to be top of the food chain in the MMO world, that cannot smacktalk with wit and coherency.

If he is guilty he should get whats coming for him. Abusing a minor over the internet is abuse nonetheless. As a 32 year old man he SHOULD have known better.

Yep. And especially since kids are so easily intimidated by older people. It's hard for them to stand up to an adult, or report what's going on to their parents. (My sister is a child abuse social worker... I hear the bad stories). Any adult who takes advantage of that and intimidates a kid deserves the worst.

Update: Another useless douche made a really disgusting comment on Twitter about this girl. A woman in Alberta found out who he was and contacted his employer and they fired him. Cool
