I was under the impression that once your level of egotism and self importance passes a certain point CCP automatically contact you about it.

I never claimed the forums were a sandbox unto itself but as part of the EVE universe, the ISD was espousing that he or she is a passionate veteran of EVE and EVE is a sandbox. A forum is a medium where ideas and views on a particular issue can be exchanged, where the community comes together outside of the game. This includes ideas which you don't agree with or rub you the wrong way. That is what a forum is supposed to be, you can have yours be about whatever you want (I never claimed you can't).

For instance I'm of the opinion that the laziness of CCP staff lead to this outsourcing and it's ill-advised.

Is this opinion wrong? Maybe. Are you offended by it? Maybe, if you're easily offended by random opinions (which is a distinct possibility considering).

What I'm concerned about it why you think I shouldn't be able to express it.

There are many ways to interpret "trolling" and it seems like CCP and the ISDs have determined it means anything that they don't agree with... or isn't "friendly" enough.

This is precisely the kind of input we want into the discussion thread I started about our moderation techniques. Instead of telling you to go there with this information, I will attempt to answer your observations here. I still ask that you direct further criticism to the moderation thread, here:

Now. There are rules that forbid speaking falsities and slandering employees of CCP and the ISD members. We remove false statements that sometimes pop up, one of those being that we are too lazy to do our job. That is your opinion, yes, but you will need to go to other sites to discuss that statement as it is false and we don't tolerate false statements here. That has nothing to do with sensitivity. I am asking for your opinions and that includes ones that might be perceived as negative.

And regarding the trolling. Our forum rules define trolling as "a post that is deliberately designed for the purpose of angering and insulting the players. " I myself am not in the habit of removing threads that I don't agree with. I hope to spread that outlook to the rest of the team. To be absolutely clear, I do not know about anyone on the team that thinks it is okay to delete something just because it is on an opposite place in the spectrum of opinions.

Are you for real????
"Angering or insulting the players?"

Based on that criteria, why are goons and their ilk allowed to post calling high sec players "pubbies", or some other equivalent slur?
Heck, the sole intent of probably a third of the posts on the forums is to anger and demean other players.

If you are truly standing by the definition of trolling you just posted, then it must mean one of 2 things:

1. You guys are incompetent at your jobs since I can probably find 10 posts in 10 minutes that meet the criteria you laid down.

OR:

2. You selectively enforce that criteria to eliminate posts that don't match the personal views of the game held by the various members of the censorship team.

I would LOVE to see a true breakdown of what area of the game each of the members of the censorship team hails from.
Of course, any statement of player background can be stated as fact, and no way to refute it, so such a breakdown becomes immediately worthless.
