All those people mocking OP for wanting to hire mercs on his competitors; how is this a bad thing? This kind of gameplay is what EVE is about - you find you have competition, you either blow them up or persuade someone else to do it for you. Perhaps they hire their own mercenary force, or perhaps they all learn to shoot guns themselves. That way you have your own little war.

Whatever happens as an outcome of hiring mercenaries has to be much more interesting than just docilely sharing the system or relocating.

Hire a miner bumper...not joking, it's a logical method to remove your competitors, costs no isk for a war dec, infuriates an enemy that would otherwise dock up and wait out the war dec, and prevents them from moving in on your turf while you mine. You could hire a smaller unknown group to do it for much less isk than a more notorious merc corp.

/cry "there isn't enough PvP! Miners are weak" / "OMG miners are trying to start wars wtf" Not Enough/Too much PvP

"hello I'm the eve community, regardless of what you say or do, even if you attempt two completely opposite actions or possess one of two completely opposite opinions, they are, in my elite and brilliant opinion, both equally wrong and inferior, unless I thought of them first."

I love it. Its like watching 2 year olds fight over a plastic shovel and pail in a sand box :)

Miners have such a sense of entitlement. I've received so many requests from "brave" miners who want a competitor dispatched because "they were mining my asteroid belt", "I found this mining system and I don't want competition" or "not taking proper anti-gank precautions and making me a target" up to "not honoring the miner code" (whatever that is).

These dudes seem to think they own highsec and even more so these days with CCP pandering to them. Poor miners don't seem to understand that highsec is common grazing ground for fat dump carebears. You don't own anything and have no right to any resource more than the other guide. But as sick as these dudes make me I'm not complaining. I enjoy the work.

Hmm this is a fight over resources just like CCP wants, so its all good.

This is cost effective and more infuriating than a war dec. It's also pretty funny watching mining ships launched out of the belt .

If anyone needs to hire a miner bumper, I'm willing to spread the word of the New Order to the unwashed masses.
