An amazing concept of a game that got butchered by lack of funding and developer ineptitude.

Well that kind of sucks... I'm going to go ahead and unsub now before I've even played the game in order to make the entire ordeal easier.

lol to all you amateurs.

THIS is hardcore gaming.

^^ This tbh, been gaming since '81 if you don't include pong on the atari 2600.

I remember the days of copying code from magazines so that I could mow down pedestrians in my heavily pixellated car, either that or waiting 20 minutes for Jetset Willy to load from the cassette player.

Hi-speed dub tape to tape machines were king back then, copy your game, run to school and swap it with someone for another.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Darkfall doesn't even allow scamming. How boring.

If you continuously type "u" instead of "you" and "ur" instead of "your" while avoiding punctuation marks you are by definition hardcore.

edit:
Thread title in ALL CAPS also qualifies as hardcore.

I'd like to apologize for the poor quality of the post above and sincerely hope you didn't waste your time reading it. Yes, I do feel bad about it.

Yep. You can loot their body parts, including the head. Even better you can harvest their body parts and bones to use in crafting skills. E.g., you can bake parts of their bodies and eat them.

Yep, seems you can't stay "dock" and scam, seems also you can't simply do anything else than kill or get killed, there's no concord protection nor stations to dock and mock in local.

Have to man up or die, this sucks for a lot of Eve "awesome" pvp players Lol

My first set of D&D came in a blue box yo!

But the most hardcore games of all were either play-by-mail or the original Hunt the Wumpus played on a blazing 1200 bit/s.

Chico, I don't know what to tell you, but if you think EVE is hardcore, then I can only guess that you got stuck in a walk-in freezer for the last six years.

I wrote some true EVE stories! And no, they're not of the generic "my 0.0 alliance had lots of 0.0 fleets and took a lot of 0.0 space" sort. Check them out here:
