Hi There!

We were looking for sponsors becouse this is supposed to be a professional league, and if you good in something ask money for it.

We found one gentleman who was ready to sponsor. He asked CCP in a petition that is it fine?

CCP answered that plex for real cash considered RMT.

SO YOU ARE TELLING ME CCP that if i win this and i used plex for being at this dollartourney that simply RMT. So the winners in any dollar worth place are rmting. Very nice.

So if winners can get real cash for PLEX my sponsor should too or bann everyone asap when they got the dollar FROM YOU.

Regards R.A.T.T.

If his written English is as confusing to read as yours, then I can only imagine what meaning was actually conveyed to the poor GM who answered his petition.

What part of sponsorship requires selling PLEX for real money ? That is not sponsorship, that is RMT. And if you mean buying PLEX for real money, well that is how you buy PLEX in the first place. I believe the GM who made you and your friend so mad is most likely just bewildered by what was written in the petition.

Sponsorship means external assistance to your team, be it monetarily or material, in-game or out, to help your team compete in the tournament.

For example; if he buys PLEX for you using real money then sends you those PLEX, which is what I can only imagine you mean, then that is fine and not considered RMT.

I totally dont care how you understand it, but you just did expect one point of it. The gentleman paying with PLEX to sponsor us. That is sponsorship here. Sponsors usually earn from the prices. In this case he can earn money not isk - not plexes.

That is what ccp consider RMT. This basicly means: the team doing RMT - if they win prices.

Hope you got it this time.

Im looking for an answer.

Confusion upon layers of confusion, please try your hardest to actually read what I say. I understand what you mean, but the GM who answered your petition most likely did not. I have a talent for deciphering terribly written English.

If someone is giving you PLEX and expecting a share of the winnings, that is not sponsorship i'm afraid, that's called investment.

Sponsors don't help a team to earn directly from the prizes. You clearly do not understand sponsorship. Sponsors earn from associative revenue such as through advertising and being publicised. Sponsorship can also just be goodwill based where the sponsor does not expect to earn anything, such as sponsoring an athlete for charity.

What I think you are suggesting here, is that someone is buying your team PLEX to compete, and then you will split the real life money prize with them if you win. What you do with your winnings is your business, not CCPs.

How you can be asking CCP what you do with your prize winnings is beyond me, they have no control over your bank account. However, since prize money will be split equally between all team members, I am not sure how you could make any controllable agreement to guarantee you each give a portion of your winnings to a sponsor.

I did not wrote the petition, the man who was ready to pay us the plex did. However CCP could let us do this. My quiestion here is simple and you got the point of it.

I want a way where the INVESTOR can get his share. If its totally not possible here i dont see the point of cash prices.

It is possible, you just have to organise that yourself.

Your investor either has to trust that each of your team members will give him an agreed upon share or you could actually get a solicitor to write up contractual agreements for the splitting of prize money that each of your team plus investor would have to sign. That just seems all a little extreme though in my opinion this is just a small internet tournament.

It is maybe a small internet tournament, but why shouldn't we do this. Nothing forbidden this. Thank you for your feedback, i will talk to CCP anyway if not here somewhere else.

But that would be great if they respond here and save me time.

Simple, put him on the roster for your team. Have him fill one of the reserve slots and a share of the prize money will automatically be given to him should your team win.

All of that is within the use of current rules as posted so shouldn't cause any kind of issue.
