It is high time that James 'Scotty' Doohan has his own spot on Canada’s Walk of Fame, he already has one on the famous hollywood walk of fame now it's high time this amazing Canadian had one in his native country.

Just in case you have been living in a hole for the last 45+ years here is a link about this amazing individual
James Doohan From Wikipedia

And here is where you can nominate him for the 2013 awards

Your right and I know that there other people who deserve a spot rather then "some actor" that may be true but I don't think there has been a actor that is as universally (pardon the pun) known as James is. He has accomplished so much in his life including his service throughout the second world war and the invasion of Normandy at Juno Beach on D-Day.

I will be nominating him and I urge the rest of the community to as well.

I didn't know who he was until I saw a picture of him. I haven't been living in a hole for the past 20 years, it's just that I suck with names.

I may not be Canadian, but I'll be voting if I can. James was a wonderful man and a credit to his country in many ways. I had the greatest pleasure to meet him many years ago at a Star Trek convention in the US, he loved his fans dearly and was the epitome of a gentleman.

He deserves to be honoured by his fellow countrymen for his heroic deeds over the years, and the dedication to his craft, but mostly he deserves it just because he was damn a fine Canadian and a damn fine human being.

A friend of mine met James Doohan in Malaysia, when she was working as a waitress in an Indian restaurant. She said we was a really nice guy, very kind and gracious. If your waitress says you're a good guy, you must really be a good guy. Wait staff meet all kinds every day....

The man was an icon and was one of my favourite Star Trek actors during my early years.
I have voted for him to have the recognition he deserves by his own Country.

I met the guy at a Star Trek convention, and he seemed to genuinely be a nice guy compared to some of his co-stars. He gets my +1 for any nomination.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

A little shocked he didn't already have one. It should definitely be done.
