just to add- i am getting the exact same problem for the last 3 days that has being stated here, i am with BT infinity also :( at time of writing i am unable to log into game and the launcher isnt even loading i am getting an exception error

Most of the feedback we have received seems to indicate that BT have resolved the problem and connections are possible to maintain.

If we receive any further reports of connection issues from BT customers we will contact our network admins and ask them to contact BT directly to emphasize the problem still exists.

BTs fibre isnt actually proper fibre its is FTTB which is Fibre to the box. Sky use this too.

Virgin is the only real deal fibre in the UK.

I am from Malaysia and I am experiencing the same problem, I can't even do anything since I get the socket out in less than a minute every time. I want a refund if this problem is nto solved soon.Twisted

I am also from the Netherlands and I am getting constant socket closed issues for the last 1-2 weeks now.

I wonder if this is an issue with fiber optic in general. I have a few friends I play with here in the states and throughout various different locales here. They all get random "socket closed" issues at random times. They only get disconnected from EVE though and stay up with teamspeak, browsers and other internet capable programs.

ISP is called Rogers Cable

Can't seem to stay logged in for more then 1 or 2 minutes...
Most times I just get disconnected from game, then can relog but
last few times when I crash out of game I also lose my internet connection.

So not sure if I should be looking at my ISP or something else....

gah ragequit!!!

oh wait... I can't rage quit another 3 hours and I can fit my mining crystals... drat another plan foiled... will add ragequit to my to do list :)

Hmm odd, im on virgin media, eve is working(so far) but my steam shows "no connection" when downloading things now :S. Looks like Mayans were right :P, end is near, what are we going to do without internets D: ?!

Also from the netherlands. Experiencing all kinds of stuff: getting socket closed error a few times a day for a few days. Got entirely disconnected from internet once. Had socket closed on 1 client while the other was running normally, it worked again after I ran the repair tool (no idea if it actually fixed anything, but I didn't know what else to try).

I have been having this issue--connecting from New York City.
It happens after I've been logged in for a while--no set time (could be 30 minutes, could be 3 hours). Usually the client closes right away and restarting it is fine. Other times the client locks up completely for several minutes (most has been about 10 minutes). Non-CCP Internet services are unaffected.

Hope it gets resolved soon.

I had a disconnected socket just a few minutes ago.

I get this almost every time I start up the client and log in and then it goes away after I log in the 2nd time, I'm also in Australia. Been getting this message on first login for a couple of months now, is there any updates on this?

I have had the Socket was closed 4 times so far tonight but only on my alt that is logged in Jita. My other alt is still logged in without any problems.
