I'm new to Eve and I was flying around when it hit me like a brick in the face, why do we all look like humans? Here I am in Alphi quadrant and I LOOK LIKE A HUMAN, why am I not an alien with green stuff oozing out of my face and weird looking alien ships? I think it's time for an expansion that brings aliens into this universe, an agressive race, some a little slow and strong and some who are intellectuals!

This is a petition so vote yes guys so Eve staff can see this :)

No

Go read some backstory

I have deliberately developed an air of cynicism that I originally intended to make me appear somewhat louche and caddish but actually comes across as irritable hostility combined with the unspoken threat of sudden violence.....

So the backstory covers every single angle from aliens EVER EVER existing in this universe? You're dumb, don't post cryptic messages on my thread. Ty

No if you went and read some back story you'd know both why you look like a human and also that there are aliens (of a sort) but apparently you're too dumb to read.

Let me help you with your ADD

Aliens exist in EVE, but just like real life we're primitive and unimportant to them, so they simply avoid us like we do packs of wild dogs.

Great insult, once again like I said, I don't care about your backstory, I'm saying in THIS universe a new RACE(s) are discovered, maybe a jumpgate can get created to their galaxy or something I don't know. You're just trying to stick to your story like it's the Holy Bible. Think outside the box!

The backstory is important ..

If you had read it as advised, you would realise that the "Eve Universe" is not the total maximum extent of human exploration and colonisation.

New Eden is a tiny fraction of space that has been explored by humanity, and in all that exploration nothing has been found, nothing has been seen. New Eden is isolated and cut off from humanities ancestral home, Earth. There is no communication with it, noway of travelling there.

The ancient remains/civilisations that are found, in wormholes and exploration sites in normal space, and talked about are Human too.

In the wider Eve universe, aliens may indeed have been encountered, but it matters little to New Eden, because the wider Eve Universe is innacessible.

The closest we have is a person named Large Colllidable Object... oh and the ISD just because they're mean and have probes. Shocked

They do?

I was under the impression that all known 'life' (including drones) was human in origin.

The four empires being human colonies emerging from a dark age long after the collapse of the EVE gate.
The Jove being another human colony that went through a shorter and much less severe dark age.
Rogue Drones being a failed experiment by the Gallenteans in self-replicating military hardware.
Sleepers being the guardians of yet another technologically advanced human colony that seems to have been wiped out for one reason or another.
The other references to ancient cultures such as the Talocan also being some of the human groups that travelled through the EVE gate.

Same: No

If there were aliens, in the universe, and could find new eden and travel to it, as the universe is really really big, they would be so advanced that life as we know it very well would be wiped out in a single volley as we tried to attack them. Is new eden even a type 2 civilization? Now rogue drones, yes. Mutations, sure. But aliens, just not realistic. Quite a few science fiction space stories, good ones, had nothing to do with aliens, and they need not all contain them.

I'm in it for the money

The aliens are behind the Eve gate - the descendants of the original earthlings... they'd be so advanced in tech by now that the capsuleers would be like ants to them and we'd be crushed so fast should the Eve gate ever open...

Yes, all known life is descended from humans, and are equally violent. However, any peaceful races have no reason to reveal themselves to us. Instead of developing more advanced ways to kill, they've developed more advanced ways to not be killed, which leaves us completely oblivious to their existence.

Nope.

Even if there had been an indigenous population when humans came through the Eve Gate, we'd have done what we do best, wiped them out. Read up on the history of the Americas and what Europeans did to the populations there.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
