Upfront I'm a carebear, pve happy casual for the most part. The only thing I an really say for sure is that eventually, SOMEONE is going to come out with a successful casual friendly Space based MMO because it was designed that way from the start. Regardless of exactly what genre it falls under, the casual pve friendly people like me are going to try it out and most likely stay. I don't think EvE will compete well if it tries to step out of the niche its made for itself and compete for players like myself.

Just my opinion.

Also I just came back and have no idea what you all are on about.

They have one. It's called STO. Have you tried it? It's doing really well right now.

I thought BSGO was going to be that kind of game for a while----but sadly it was a F2P game, so yeah.....Sad Did have a lot of fun in the first few months though.

Hisec is and has always been carebears only, PVP happens in low, null and wormholes. Get over it and come play with us, you will like it.

What? You on drugs, bro?

I wrote some true EVE stories! And no, they're not of the generic "my 0.0 alliance had lots of 0.0 fleets and took a lot of 0.0 space" sort. Check them out here:

There you go again with this dieing garbage, you really need to use your other words.

Th structure you are complaining about has also brought people to the game so I have a hard time understand the crying wolf deal you have going on here, but I'll leave you too it.

Seems to me that

A) a flexible bounty system may serve to link the well funded 'care-bear' indus with a large anonymous group of PvPers to fight their (bounty hunter as a trade? yes please) battles by proxie. (more PvP for PvPers, something to spend money on IOT accomplish goals for rich Indus) = good

B) Killrights in Hisec being traded on the market (sorta, I realize you can rent them in realtime) means ganker/greifer tears (yes) and again, More PvP. Unless the endless bragging and general carrying-on of the 'PvP elite' of this game is in fact baseless, and only meaningful in the context of (mostly defenceless) Miners and haulers being gang raped by gate camps. I do believe we'll see who the real pirates are very soon, and to them : Respect.

I do understand that watching something you enjoy change can be unpleasant, however have some bloody faith. Look at what CCP has done in the last 9 years! Sure it has its flaws but at its heart its a brilliant game, and just maybe they have a long term strategic goal which will make it even better.

As an industrialist that was ganked and was the object of threats from a corp killer my first week in the game, I had to find a way to defend myself.

Shortly after mentioning my plight on a voice channel I received several offers from PvP'ers to do some "slack work" for me. I have been paying them to kill people on demand since.

I think people need to give the new system a chance. It might actually be good for the game and lead to more interesting interactions.

CCP pushing wardecs and bounty hunting forwards as the best high sec pvp mechanics, is really going to be terrible.

However will those 10s of posters upset by this ever be replaced in the sandbox?

Ive played in 06/07, and 09/10, and obviously 2012

Eve has changed massively over that time, in my view for the better.
There are more gameplay options now than there were in 2006 for a start.
40k+ players online is the highest i have ever seen in eve.

I'd like to think your wrong, and say that Eve is just changing again.
The changes announced aren't the only changes that are planned, they are the start of a series of changes
When CCP say "ok, were done with these changes, this is it." thats when we can judge those changes
thats when we can say "but ccp. these changes are crap, were leaving"
or not, depends what we see at the end of the cycle.

Focus on the "Look at what CCP has done in the last 9 years!". The old CCP was perfect, but sadly most of the founder base is gone or cannot save Eve and make it what it was. You are right, in saying that CCP has done great things, but this new CCP are mostly leaders of massive null alliances, RL money whores, or in game carebears. In other words, that is the player base that will get support, and nobody else. I saw a post of a CCP employee telling carebears to harden he **** up. That is the CCP that made the game, the new CCP is about making those who whine the loudest, who pay them the most money, and most of all are some of CCP itself now are getting told to soften up because we'll just make new rules so you can play the way you want to and they can't bother you no more. This is what will cause Eve to die in the end, an end that is coming way sooner than it should.

I'm saying dieing, yes it may be a bit dramatic at this point in time but what I am talking about is that Eve will be dieing, soon. The events that are happening will lead to that if they are allowed to happen.

The structure I am complaining about has brought people to the game, maybe yes maybe no, maybe that is just CCP mistaking general gain and the fact that Eve also has more advertisement during new expansion months. Take your pick, but in the end it is not the amount of players that will matter, it is he proportion of the group that falls down first, with Eve becoming two halves, low/null pvpers, highsec carebears one side gives in and eve economy crashes plex prices skyrocket the carebears drop alts and since the majority will be alts that's a ton of lost subs, then ship prices will increase and while big alliances continue as usual the smalls and the news can't do anything anymore so they quit, and while that happens less pvp begins happening for the large alliances and it's one massive cycle that has a good chance of ending eve if it comes to that. Are you beginning to see what I am talking about?

You aren't looking at the changes being made to lessen highsec pvp and push pvpers to low/null, also the changes made to protect those who want protection. CCP wants pvp in low/null and carebears in high, this will not work very long at all...

40K is 50% less than their peak. Admittedly the old 60k used to house a lot of bots which have been banned, not including them its still a huge drop.

I've just unsubbed 3 of my 4 accounts and it is happening not just through my corp, but with a lot of other corps as well that I keep in contact with.

I'll start playing again when 0.0 and lowsec gets fixed. If ccp remember to do it.

Are you really that blind? CONCORD protects you from people you don't want to fight, that is the reason you are in hisec, with the other carebears.

And you don't wish to "fight" anybody, if you would, you would embrace this expansion as it makes white knighting possible, giving you more opponents. YOU were protected by CONCORD from these people who wanted to fight you, now they have a switch that causes CONCORD to look the other way for 15 minutes. Which means that Retribution is less safe to you, carebear.

No they don't and you saying they do does not make it so man. Really mate just let the system have a chance, since you cannot possibly predict how "everyone else" is going to adjust to these changes.

People predict doom each and every issue, so you just need to get in line man.
