    Perhaps mission runners will actively engage pvpers if its a fair fight, instead of Constantly Evading PvP.

    Without buffing the strength of the level 4 and belt rat NPCs significantly to the level of a miniature incursion, the target switching won't matter because it's one man in a drake still taking the same amount of incoming dps.

    Why would CCP implement this change? I have no idea why they actually did, but I hope they realize this is going to happen.

    CCP is killing off these entire types of PVP.

    • Solo afk cloaking in a recon ship. Now when your pilgrim warps into that sanctum the rats will nuke you and the target will escape.
    • Solo Mission runner hunting. Whether you baited them by being a "ninja" or are at war with them, mission NPCs will nuke you when you enter the site with your pvp ship.
    • Solo Belt Hunting. Now the rats will nuke you when you warp into the belt to kill the ratter.


    To me this seems like a nerf to solo pvp in hi, lo, and nullsec in one relatively small change. I really want to think this isn't some part of a larger plan to turn EVE into hello kitty online, and I want to have faith that EVE is still going to be a cold harsh universe, but these changes seem to contradict that.

    In other news, the pilgrim is going to be even more **** than it was before this change.

    Activating TD's, warp scram, web, and neut at the same time seems like a good way for the rats to instantly primary you.

    Instead of SOLO, bring a friend. Let him get primary, 50/50 - HALF the risk.



    In my experience, the l33t players are the once that cry the loudest when they die in EVE. Not the carebears.

    I can vouch for this, being a carebear myself. I'm welcoming the changes. It makes missions not mind-numbingly easy without being over the top dangerous, like incursions or sleeper sites.

    That's a Templar, an Amarr fighter used by carriers.

    Op also fails to realise that people have been ganking people in wormhole sites for years even with a particularly nasty AI, the new NPC AI is a watered down version of sleeper AI, if people can PvP in wormhole sites they can damn well PvP in mission sites.

    As for killing the ability of drone boats to solo missions, pay attention, fit ewar, RR your drones. If sleeper AI is anything to go by the NPCs will hate you for it and target you not your little helpers.

    If the NPC AI is anything like sleepers, then some serious drone fu and missile fu can keep even a lowly BC alive - been soloing sleepers in class 1-3 that way.

    But if they got just a little smarter, there will be trouble.

    I know people don't normally read the dev blogs before posting on the forums about some changes, but here you go:
