HOw to fit/fly eagle

anyone have good experience with this ship? Any good fits and tactics to use this so it fills out a role, either blaster dps or railgun sniping?

You got it! From posts and the general opinion that I've gathered over time is not to waste your time/money with the Eagle.

There is a possibility it will be viable when they fix hybrids. But until that update most people have no use for the ship.

On a side note it is the cheapest Heavy Assault Ship in the game.

It is a small gang brawler fit. Ok DPS, passable, not terribad speed and full tackle. Nos is to keep the guns moving under Neuts but you can replace it if ya want. No Frigate Defenses so make sure you got someone who can back you up.

But really, just fly a Cane or a Brutix.

The Eagle sucks, plain and simple.

Well, actually, you're a pretty good frigate sniper; except that you don't instapop anything. But you can shoot frigates/pods/shuttles at over 150km, which is fun. But pointless.

The eagle has bad fitting, bad damage, awful speed and has pretty much no redeeming qualities. I think even a moa outclasses it inside scram range.

I think at some point the eagle went below mineral cost in jita.

It's that bad.

The role of the Eagle is as a pre-patch speculation opportunity, following the logic of "it can't possibly be worse than it is now".

No it doesn't, The Eagle can fit a 2 mid slot tank, and a web + scram. The Moa has to choose between the 2. The Eagle has 50-90 more DPS. The Eagle has the slightly more agility and moves at the same speed. The duel Opt Bonus, Web allows it better control in Scram Range.

The Eagle gets between 5000-15000 EHP more depending on if the Moa fits a web or more tank. This is an Eagle with a Web it can get 8000 more EHP without one.

The only thing the Moa has over the Eagle is three drones which if they are lucky can fend of a Frigate. But they are both gimped fighting anything below a Destroyer.

To put this into a broader prospective, Eagle wins in a Cripple Fight.

Okay I was wrong. For 50 mil extra you can have a slightly better ship than a moa.

The Eagle might be nice once hybrids are fixed.

But with the current state if you want a sniper hac cross train into a Munin.
