In terms of aggressive damage dealing, what is generally seen as the more destructive?

Pros and Cons for each? I'm sure there are alot of opinions on this!

Looking to get into some long range death-dealing and was curious what most people would rather fit for some good old fashioned low sec PvP hunting.

Debating to use either a Nightmare with a cap buddy or something else... advice? Opinions? Angry outburst for wanting to PvP in a NM? Pirate

I'd buy a second 1400 pest for the cap buddy. That way you wouldn't even need to care about cap anymore and have the probably most agressive form of damage dealing: a sick alpha strike. On top of that both of the ships will be cheap compared to a NM.

How long of range are we talking? Like 50-60km "might as well be using Mega Pulses with Scorch" range, or 150+km "Sebo'd, TE'd, Aurora'd Oracle" range?

Flying a Nightmare around low sec?

Are you trying to draw everyone with an intel channel for like three regions?

QFT.

While a NM is a great ship, you MUST know how big a target you are going to makeAttentionAttention

If you want long range tachyon sunbeams, go with an Oracle. So much cheaper, and such a beautiful thing to see in action with damage performance similar if not better.
Also much faster, easier to try and get away with, and does not draw 1/10th of the attention that a billion isk+ non cloaking non T3 ship is going to draw.

I love the idea of pvp in marauders, faction BS, etc, but sadly in the current state of things, since everyone else tries to fly as cheaply as possible, you show up like a neon pinata to them. ;(

Specially when you can do the same job with a tier 3 BC and GTFO with the best of them.

Try using an Oracle first if you want to practice with Tachs. Once you've lost about as many Oracles as your first Nightmare would cost, Reform your opinions.

PS It's not wrong to have a PvP Nightmare. If it is, I'm wrong too.

Tachs are great.

short range incredible damage @ 5km to 50km. Long range ....decent damage at 100km

and no ammo is nice
