different types/tiers of salvage?

From what i saw there are 3 different types of salvaged items?
1- the normal ones you get off rats that are used to make rigs

2- the "intact" ones that so far i managed to find in mag sites or once from salvaging a sleeper i think

3-the ones you get from sleepers (maybe other things offer them also?)

is it possible to get intact salvage from normal rats? also can someone give a more completed list of what salvaged items come from where?

Thanks

Normal rats usually provide regular salvage.
Faction rats (True Sansha, Dark Blood, etc) have a high chance of dropping interesting loot and intact pieces of salvage. Intact pieces can also be found in mag sites indeed.
Sleepers in anoms will provide mixed types of salvage (intact and broken), but only melted nanoribbons have a decent value. In w-space radar/mag sites, you can also find datacores, libraries and assemblies needed to build/research Tech 3 cruisers, as well as wrecked components (thrusters, capacitor).
Unless you have a research POS and want to produce Tech 3 cruisers, nanoribbons and the blue loot of sleepers are the only worthy items you can get from sleepers (ribbons in C1 to C3, blue loot in C4 to C6 roughly).

What is salvaged from a wreck is totally dependent of the God RNG (aka Bob), you can try to bribe Him with a pod, but it will likely remain random.

Adding to what Sin said, but about player ships:

  • T1 player ships drop T1 salvage (no "blue" or intact stuff).
  • T2 player ships drop T2 salvage (intact, etc). The bigger the ship, the more salvage (Vagabond will drop more salvage than Wolf). Type of salvage depends on race/ship type (Zealots drop intact armor plates, Eagles drop intact shield emitters).
  • T3 ships work as T2 ships, but drop stupid-high amounts of salvage.

To salvage a T1 wreck, you simply need a salvager. To salvage a T2/faction/etc wreck, you need Salvaging III. To efficiently salvage those (not take 15 minutes to salvage one wreck), you need to use Salvager II modules, which require Salvaging V.

Salvaging V is worth training. Trust me. I used to not believe in it either, but now with my Salvager II, I can ninja all the salvage ever.

Yeah....no

Yes regular salvage comes from normal rats and t1 ships with the occasional from t2 ship wrecks
T2 salvage comes from t2/t3 wrecks as well as faction, and officer rats
There is also salvage gained from the rats in whs which only appear in whs and are used to manufacture t3s there appear in allc1-c6 whs

Note normal and t2 salvage can also be found in mag and radar high, low, and null sec along with descriptors skill books, blueprints, data cores, and various other things

Is the amount of salvage in a certain wreck fixed or can i get more salvage per wreck by having salvaging V skill and or salvager IIs?

I am not talking about success rates, i mean actual amount of salvaged parts

As soon as a wreck is gerated it is given a certain amount of salvage, though is you have a crap ton of wrecks you realize how awesome t2 salvagers are especially on a noctis.
