Last night, I THINK after the down time (around Midnight or so Eastern time) EVE started crashing my computer. The game loads just fine but after a couple of minutes of playing my computer turns off. I have to manually restart it. It's certainly EVE I can do all kinds of other stuff just fine with no problem but when I try to play EVE it shuts down after a couple of minutes. So 1) Is anyone else having this problem and 2) how do I submit a bug report outside of the game.
I'm still new to this so I'm sorry if there's something stupid that I'm missing.

thanks

Do you load EvE as soon as you turn on your computer or do you turn it on after using it for a period of time?

It could be that its overheating and its shutting down to prevent damage

I've tried it both ways starting back up and loading EVE right away causes it to shut down.... waiting, doing something else causes it to shut down... I also tried uninstalling and re installing EVE and that didn't work. I've been playing the game for a few weeks with no problems then last night this problem cropped up.

Just in case the issue hasn't gone away, or in case anyone else has a similar problem, I've unlocked this thread and moved it from GD to Issues, Workarounds & Localization - ISD Type40.

Just to say that since the patch I have started having this problem too.

However, I have found that it only happens when I have the game in Window mode, in full screen it's stable.

I know that my system is starting to get a bit long in the tooth and initially thought it was a memory limitation issue. However, if I stay in full screen, and Alt/Tab out my computer can still run an instance of LotRO (Sorry, Lord of the Rings Online, and yes, I am ice mining at the moment *grins*).

It does take time to tab between the two, but I am putting that down to an old system, however, it will not run Eve on its own in a window. Within a couple of minutes of going into window mode I get a black screen, an odd 'chirping' sound from the speakers and I have to re-boot off the on/off button on the computer/

I have exactly the same problem.
I have absolutly no problem with any other game, but after playing a few minutes with EVE, my computer shutdown.
I also play in window mode cause i'm on dual screen.
