Out of Game Events and Gatherings

With the rain and it being @ 7pm on a Thursday, I think parking should be fine. You can also park in the garage beneath city hall on 2nd street if it's stopped raining :)

I'll be showing up, I wonder if any other GalMil bros will be there.

Was good to meet so many devs tonight, Fozzie, Foxfour, Greyscale, Alice, Fear, Xhagen, Affinity..

I was the little dude with the Elvis Costello glasses and PBR cap.

EDIT: There is an ingame channel for Austin networking called 512 (dunno who runs it though and it is mostly empty and needs love.)

Oh and man I was really surprised by the high turnout. It was good to meet Seleene briefly too from the CSM.

Yup was a blast and while I only got to speak to one Dev, she was the right one since she works on Evegate, my home away from home.
Now if I could just remember her name...
OH and free drinks FTW...

Had a great time. It was nice to see the devs who came last year and the new devs who came this year. The players were incredibly entertaining. I'm very sad this was the last GDCO for Austin, but I have a feeling a lot of the players won't let this die out without a fight.

Also, there IS a monthly Austin Meet up every second Friday! Details can be found here and we're actually meeting up tonight since some of our regular locals could not make it yesterday. Spider House Cafe tonight at 7pm.

Had a great time talking with CCP QA about how they do their job...I don't think we talked about spaceships once in over an hour :) Loved the insight, learned a thing or two. Thanks for the great time and good conversation.

My nights' mission was accomplished by meeting many Devs and fellow pilots and getting a Dev to stand up and take ownership of severely nerfing HMLs in the name of 'balancing'

So my brother and I get to the party early, so as, to park my 100MN Tengu by the gate and wait for an unexpecting Dev to fly by, with the plan of webbing him, then pounding him with Scourge Heavy Missiles until he explains his reasoning for the large incoming HML Nerf.

As it turns out CCP_Fozzie the Dev responsible for EvEs ship balancing department steps into our trap. He is quickly webbed by a large beer and then hammered until he agrees to go on video as the Dev who killed the Tengu / Drake.

We lead him back to the gate and get him on the official 'Concord Iphone Youtube Video Channel' Nerf batting the Tengu to oblivion.
(No 'real' Tengus were harmed in the making of this epic production) and all in fun!

So, now it is official. Duck!, Nerf incoming!

PS: CCP_Fozzie is quoted as saying to me that Heavy Missiles will still be viable and useful after patch. We shall see.

Good times, glad to have met everyone. Thanks to CCP FoxFour for the neverending beer, and seemingly never ending hangover I had all weekend. Was great to see so many CCP people from so many different pieces of the game, both Eve and Dust.
