Not sure it should be here or belongs in ship section, but Warfare and tactics seemed most logical as it is about a combo(combat) tactic.

A friend of mine is a good prober, is almost done with Recon V and only flies Amarr. She owns a Grim.

I myself have no probing skills at all, have Recon V trained, all racial cruisers to lvl5, almost all EWar skills to lvl5 (not too proficient with sensor damps though).
What Force Recon would be a good 'partner' for me to get to fly alongside the Grim?

Also if people would care to explain why and how. As to the how the question is, once target is probed down, which of the 2 should land and point first.

Depends on what you intend to shoot at with it...

It also depends on your play style, and your skills other than piloting.
Assuming lvl 4-5 in all associated skills :

Arazu:
Pro - Huge long point. Even if you don't land too close to them you will probably still land the point. Can get good tank for tackling targets which are big enough to fight back. Second fastest base speed. 40m3 drone bay.

Rapier:
Pro - Ungodly web range (with 2 webs, 90m3 worth of drones from the two of you will cause some serious rapid damage), projectile weapons. Fastest of the recons. 40 m3 drone bay.

Falcon:
Pro - ECM. ECM. oh, and ECM.
(This one does have some cons though. Slowest of the recons base speed, only 10 m3 drone bay, and it should be noted that people tend to HATE this ship. I have seen people gather friends in systems just to go hunt them down when they know they are in the area, lol).

The Rapier has a reputation almost as big as the Pilgrim, and the Arazu tends to be underestimated often. From there it is up to you to pick and choose how you fit your ship out and how you two go about it.

P.S.: As a note, if you are willing to go around without the cloak, Combat Recons are brutal ships, and something you may want to look into as an alternative.

Pilgrim will need to land on something in order for the bonused neuts to work well, so that kind of defeats the purpose of the long range ewar such as Rapier or Arazu. Honestly, another Pilgrim might be your best bet. More neuts, more tracking disruptors and more drones. Falcon is a slightly safer option, and you CAN fit medium blasters on a Falcon for ~170 DPS if you want to try that. Falcon would be a little more useful when the midden hits the windmill, so to speak.

Purpose of the long range was for holding the Tackle or snare, not the ewar. ;)

That being said, yeah 2 pilgrims would be rather devastating to the poor victim if you manage to land a point on them. A TD or two, neuts, 100 m3 of bonused drones and maybe even a couple of turrets or missiles would make short work of most targets.

ASB Rapier/Arazu (Longpoint, 2 damps) combo.

It's going to take a while to kill anything, but damn if it's going anywhere.
