Thank you for elaborating. Here's what I think:

1. Sometimes people just want to kick back with a fifth of scotch and watch a Van Damme movie where the fake blood has more depth than the plot. Video games are no different. Sure, intellectually-challenging games have a lot of merit, but sometimes I just want to do a 63-hit combo in Killer Instinct while ripping off my shirt and yelling obscenities at my friend's mother. If WoW's bacon makes a person feel good, then that means WoW is successful as an entertainment medium. Calling one form of entertainment superior to another, similar one, is opinion. We're not exactly comparing EVE to Russian Roulette here.

2. The mechanics might be old-fashioned, but are implemented well. After you hit the level cap, your level and experience cease to matter since the gameplay changes entirely (more on that in the next point). The classes are (for the most part) interchangeable. What is "archaic" and "lazy" to some is "authentic" and "classic" to others. So once again, opinion.

3. This is purely a matter of opinion, and it will be as difficult for you to convince people otherwise as if you were telling them that one painting is better than another. Personally, I find the Warcraft universe to have an extremely deep storyline, which in fact centers on pretty heavy-hitting stuff like slavery, genocide, and racism. As I mentioned before, after you reach the level cap, the actual game opens up for you. The "kill 20 boars" thing is simply filler, which in fact can be skipped without penalty. Story and narrative are art, and there's no objectivity in art criticism.

4. I won't argue about this for previously-mentioned reasons.

I mean, you even called Monopoly bad because of its linear, chance-based nature. That's like telling us that the lottery is bad because it has a binary outcome and the only way you can play it is by buying a ticket.

I thought the EVE Online crowd is better than that?

As far as the video itself goes, when does the funny part start? This looks to me like a poor man's robot chicken, but without any humor.
