Start date of June 2012. This my main.

I'm not that big into MMO's or video games in general but the social experiment that this game presents drew me in right away. I love the way the market works and the politics that Eve provides.

I started out thinking that I would fight the good fight and jump head long into sov wars on which ever front I felt I belonged. However, after just a few months its become clear that I hate pve SO much that its the pirates' life for me. Yarr

January 2012.

~ Memorable experience. Keep it brief, but tell us something about an achievement or interesting event that you experienced or witnessed.
Ruthlessly jumping a drake in an anom, alone, in my T1 fitted drake, thanks to sirius sentries not switching targets and damage control, I managed to blow it up and warp out with 30% hull despite the reinforcement drake that joined sometime during the fight. I really thought I'd lose that boat but she held tight.

~ Thoughts on EVE. Again, briefly summarize your experience and thoughts.
Started as a game, turned into a social platform with better "apps" than Facebook.Lol

~ Impression of the Forums. As above.
To take with a grain of salt.

~ Training focus. What you plan to do in EVE, or have begun training for.
Orca, Enyo, Ishkur, Jaguar, Wolf, Sabre, Legion, Zealot, Sacrilege, Pilgrim, Curse, Arazu, Ishtar, Gila, Sleipnir, Damnation.
Already have enough work with these ladies, why bother with battleships?Lol

~ Something you don't like about EVE. Can be mechanics, social, or whatever.
Client side settings, if CCP would host settings server-side with client caching, I wouldn't have to fetch overview settings and reposition every damn window whenever I use a different computer to play. That's probably the most annoying thing so far. Oh and the lack of horizontal scrollbars.

Memorable experience.
Losing 3 Inty’s in a row in low sec, trying to get the MWD trick to work (it’s never going to work. Right?). Then stumbling on getting it right with 3x warp stabs and 4x shld extrs instead. Memorable for:
a. The satisfaction of getting it right via trial and error (what ship fitting if for I guess), and
b. The adrenaline of making it through camps with only 20% armour. Blockade Running for Noobs!
As our mutual friend Charlie Fodder once said : “Warping to a gate where you know there's going to be a fight? kinda makes the blood sing.”

Thoughts on EVE.
Plex are pure genius! That a 3 month old noob like me has someone else pay my £15pm to CCP, in exchange for my ISK is inspired! It’s win/win/win.

Impression of the Forums:
As mentioned above, Jekell and Hyde. GD seems to turn otherwise helpful players into Beavis and Butthead type, like wh*re Trolls.

Training focus:
Tengu! atm. And just spend a year trying all the game content starting in Empire and working out, while skilling up.

Something you don't like about EVE:
This goes joint 1st place to:
a. Alex ‘Douchani’ Gianturco for thinking it would be fun to grief a RL depressed player to commit suicide, then offering an insincere excuse blaming it on getting lost in ‘role playing’ his evil CEO character, then caching in on his Trollfather notoriety by having tampon ads on his Douchani website.
b. CCP for not having the balls to ban Alex ‘Douchani’ Gianturco for thinking it would be fun to grief a RL depressed player to commit suicide, then offering an insincere excuse blaming it on getting lost in ‘role playing’ his evil CEO character, then caching in on his Trollfather notoriety by having tampon ads on his Douchani website.

Memorable experience: Too many to think of. Losing my Thanatos to 5 Titans and over 20 Motherships was pretty memorable.

Thoughts of EVE?: Whats Real life again???

Forums:: Pretty mixed, some good content on here.

Training Focus: Jack of all trades but mainly Capital ships.

Don't like about EVE?
1. "Send me isk and I'll Tripple it" scams
2. The aggro I get from the other half.

June 2010, sort of new.

~ Memorable experience. Keep it brief, but tell us something about an achievement or interesting event that you experienced or witnessed.

I think the most memorable experience I had was reading the forums when Incarna came out. If you're up for some laughs go back to that time and read the posts. Tons of trolling, tons of tears, anyone who disagreed with the "Down with CCP" movement was labeled a dev-alt or a troll. People organized in Jita and shot the freakin statue in protest, as if anyone cared, they grossly exaggerated the number of subs lost over it, and not only that everyone who did unsub typically posted announcing it as if anyone cared and usually ended the post with "I'm never coming back to EVE, this is the last straw CCP, when my 15 months of PLEX run out I'm giving away all of my stuff and biomassing my character." Someone actually posted that. Lol.

~ Thoughts on EVE. Again, briefly summarize your experience and thoughts.

It's not anime, its not fantasy, and its not overly sexualized (besides the Thorax), ergo its the best mmo on the market.

~ Impression of the Forums. As above.

See above. The forums are a fun place to **** post and make up opinions on things you don't really care about. Other than that its a bunch of people complaining about the same things they always have. The core of every thread asks two questions, "Why are you changing the thing I like?/Why are you changing the game for anyone other than me?"

~ Training focus. What you plan to do in EVE, or have begun training for.

I put most of my skills into cruisers and below since that's all I can afford with my aversion to pve.

~ Something you don't like about EVE. Can be mechanics, social, or whatever.

I don't dislike anything other than people who pad their killboards. There's nothing lulzier than looking up the killboard of some low sec pirate who's running his mouth to see that he obviously has been blowing up alts. Smh.

Late August 2012, 24th i think.

~ Memorable experience.

Well i've had 2 that i'd be willing to name, aside from my first roams etc.
Last week i was on grid with a titan for the first time, the epic part was when we titan bridged ontop of e-uni fleet to whoop some ass.
Not that the kills were great, but the excitement of waiting to bridge ontop of someone. EPIC.
Also recently my corp has decided to move homes to npc 0.0, jumping a fleet through wormholes when this was the first time i'd even seen one. Was pretty dam epic. We went 70 jumps in 4 jumps through wormholes. Fun as hell, intense looking forward to more.

~ Thoughts on EVE. Again, briefly summarize your experience and thoughts.

Highsec sucks, i agree that its too safe from little time i've spent here, kids in highsec can spend hours afk mining when i have to be on the top of my game, i go afk for 2 minutes chances are im r.i.p. I enjoy the risk, the tears, the metagame. Building up my corp i've been enjoying. Will continue to do so, i like the more mature community (exceptions given to militia channel and recruitment channel, these are full of 12yo kids hitting puberty.

~ Impression of the Forums.

Forums are fine, nice variety of individuals/characters. Cant be expected to have no trolls or anything like that. Forums is about as good as any other mmos forums i have seen.

~ Training focus. What you plan to do in EVE, or have begun training for.
Long term goal - Vindicator. Immediate though, working towards T2 medium projectiles, gonna make sure i can fly cruisers/bcs min/gallente as well as possible before i even bother looking into bs.

~ Something you don't like about EVE. Can be mechanics, social, or whatever.

ECM SUCKS, e-uni spams it. Learn real PvP by getting stuck in, not by hiding 50 man fleets behind an armada of blackbirds. Cowards.

~ Memorable experience. Keep it brief, but tell us something about an achievement or interesting event that you experienced or witnessed.

I think making my first 1,000,000 ISK in a single day. Using my research and corp I was able land on my feet and get to a place where I am conforatble with the non-combat areas of the game.

~ Thoughts on EVE. Again, briefly summarize your experience and thoughts.

When I first started training I realized that this game allowed me to leverage real-world experience to advance in the game. So many games I have played in the past did not relate to the game in any way. This is the first game I have played that allows me to play how I want.

~ Impression of the Forums. As above.

About the same as any other forum I am a part of. Just look at any Jeep forum and you will see the same or worse.

~ Training focus. What you plan to do in EVE, or have begun training for.

I am mainly a trader. This is how I am raising capaital to afford PVP.

~ Something you don't like about EVE. Can be mechanics, social, or whatever.

Scanning. I was stuck on teh grav mission and had to open a petition since the proof of discovery never appeared in the second room.

Start the day off slow and taper off from there.
