Requirement to pause/restart skill queue after jc/implant

This is a conspiracy by CCP to get us to waste game time. We can buy ships, guns, hookers, blow, whatever... but we can't buy skillpoints.

How to fix:

jumpToJumpCloneMethod(){
pauseSkillQueue();
//whatever is already in this method
startSkillQueue();
}

A similar solution will work when plugging/unplugging implants. Implement it.

You can buy skill points.
Check out the Character Bazaar.

I think it`s better for Role Playing as it is.

Imagine that your cybernetically modified brain has data input socket where You plug every "skillbook" chip that You want to learn and just let its "learning processor" slowly input that data into your brain.
Implanting and clone-jumping can highly affect this process so its better to "pause it" and restart when Your Cybernetics Control Unit will adopt to changes in cyber-neural network.

Only difference is with being "poded" since then Your learning processor goes automaticly in "debug" mode every time Your capsule is locked / damaged slowin learning a bit but making sure that new medical clone will start learning from exact same place when You stopped learning by dying.

You could be glad CCP didnt decide to loose SP every time You pause skilling/change skill/clone-jump/die

ITT Simple Pseudocode = Simple Production Code.

Also, LoL @ Conspiracy.

That said, it's a good idea. There's no great reason to require pausing skill training to jump or pop in implants. If only there were some place where you could put ideas for improving things, or tell CCP about Little Things you want fixed...

Or what if we had to travel to Iceland and chug a gallon of mule urine at the CCP office in Reykjavik every time we dock or debark from a station?

Artificial difficulty is artificial. Stop defending their unintuitive and ugly interfaces that force players to perform unnecessary tasks ad nauseum.

Yeah that once a day(for JC) and once a clone(for implants) hurdle is bothering me every 5 mins in game.

I don`t get You guys. This is RPG, some things need to be done manually .

If You say that all problem of skill-pausing is caused by lazyness of devs - why dont You say that auto-fire-after-reload aint also ?
And maybe modul-reactivation after reaching cap-peak in case of caping out ? And need to reinstall programs on planetary reactors ?

If You want to play arcade game that thinks for You , and just waits for You to press F1 to win - feel free. but most ppl here dont. And devs also dont want to change eve into such a game.

Sad that You made this topic only becouse You forgot to reactivate skilling and lost few k SP ...

In fairness there really is no reason why they should not do it...after all its not like when you die your training gets stopped. If we go with your "its an RPG" argument then why not force us to manually restart training whenever we die. It would be more "realistic". I for one support the whole idea of doing away with the pause unpause mechanic.

Where I agree it is not something that you have to do every other minute thats precisely why it should be done away with. Clone jumping and then remembering 2 hrs later "Oh right...I needed to restart training after I jumped...$#!^" is annoying. Worse for those times that you clone jump just before going to work / going to bed. In those cases you don't just lose a few hours but potentially (depending on your playstyle / playtime / job / other RL obligations) a few days.
