I have repeatedly read that CCP intends on addressing off-grid boosting, this will surely made up either by greatly buffing leadership so the time they do exist on the field is a night and day difference which results in calculated losses or they buff the hell out of them making them capital level EHP targets.

So here is my risky investment of 2012.

Now with 100% less Troll.

I've been thinking about this too. I have a perfect Leadership alt, and a Command ship V alt that I use for PvP. (Astarte mainly)

Nerfing OGB is a kick in the face to , I dunno, thousands of players? These would be players that have put time and money into an asset. Good customers in other words.

I hope your gamble pays off.
More important, I hope CCP is trying to do something to compensate the folks who trained for months and months.

IF* they nerf it: I predict much less duel boxing, and a glut of characters for sale. Possibly a lot of character transfers and closed accounts.

Invest in pillows to catch all the tears.

You guys ever wonder if ccp doesn't like some of the duel boxing?

As it is mainly being paid for by plex and then plex prices stay high.

Followed by new players getting way more isk for plex which in turn has them buy less of it.

Also reduces the spread of plex across other players who would enjoy covering a month or two just to keep them in the game when broke or short on funds instead of just quiting.

If most duel boxers use plex for the accounts get to kicking them teeth CCP.

I used to think they didn't care. But with promotions like "the power of two" I would say it is very evident that they do support dual boxing.

High PLEX prices has never been a problem. The higher they get the more players buy PLEX for real $$ to sell for isk. The more isk they are worth, the more isk you get for your dollar. PLEX prices have not gone up as much as everything else in game. They have gone up because everything has gone up.
Ships that you could buy 2 years ago for about 100 mil isk are now closer to 300 mil. The price of all minerals are at least double what they were 2 years ago. I remember when Trit at 3.5 isk was considered high. 2 years ago PLEX was around 350 mil so it has not even doubled while most other things in game have more than doubled.

Wrong again. Although players who buy PLEX for $$ to sell in game for isk will need less PLEX to raise the same money. The higher PLEX prices get the more players are willing to do it. I would expect that high PLEX prices in game actually increase PLEX sales.

The things these broke players are selling to raise isk to buy PLEX are also worth more. So the amount of work it takes in game to pay for a PLEX is still about the same. You can easily make 50-60 mil an hour running level 4 missions or ratting. Thats only about 10 hours per month to pay for your PLEX.

Considering that most players who suddenly can not afford a subscription is due to loss of employment, they have extra time to spend playing and earning the isk to buy PLEX. Besides, If your financial situation does not allow for you to spend $20 a month of recreation than you have far more important thing to worry about than how you will pay next months sub. How about how you will pay rent, or for your next meal. If video games are a priority in your life, than you need help in more ways than one.

If I had the time to spend in game I would pay for all four of my accounts with PLEX. It makes no difference to CCP. Someone paid $20 for that PLEX so the sub is paid in real $$ either way. I make over $1000 a week and have no problem pay 4 subs. That does not make me any more valuable to the community than someone paying for 4 accounts with PLEX. A Sub is a Sub. PLEX actually costs more than a regular sub, so the more accounts that use PLEX the more $$ per account CCP makes.

The only change they should make is change boosts bonus per level from the Current T3 bonus which is 5% per level to the Command Ships. So now T3s will get 3% per level, and CS will get 5% per level. Then it makes more sense, leave everything else alone.

And I personally have 2 maxed out OGBs and deffinately won't be happy if they ruin them completely.
