2 Things

nah, 3 things.. sorry for my minmatarian english^^

first:
Many pilots are saying that the way, that the Minmatar-shipgraphics are going, leads in a bad direction (looks to modern, not rusty enough, etc. ) in my opinion its a good direction indeed, because its just "real" and developing like new eden as itself.
The Minmatar ships were build up with a background of lacks of ressources. but the mataris are getting stronger and are full of hardworking people. With that in Mind, the Way that our Ships going to look is awesome in my opinion, not too much, not too few.

keep that way, ccp :)

second: the Suns are awesome... if you are an AU away... they aren´t really Important for the game. Except that they looks fine, but they did it a few years ago. every time when i warp to the sun directly, im kind of disappointed^^
especially after i saw the movie "Sunshine" and stuff like that^^

Dear CCP, if you find 2-3 Graphic experts, which have nothing important to do at the moment...... :D

The lens flare should also be much smaller at a dozen AU or more, until at 50 AU it almost merges with the stellar background

Dam thing blinds me! Which is weird, you wouldn't expect that to be posible on a screen.

Do not assume anything above this line was typed by me. Nerf the Truth, it's inconvenient.

I would support a client side option for adjusting the intensity of the sun, or simply being able to destroy it. either way id be fine with. Big smile

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Fixed that for you.

Both is true. When within 0.1 AU the sun is too dim. Above about 0.8 AU it's too bright. remember earth is only 1AU from our sun. Of course adjust for various star types. at 60+ AU it should barely be brighter than the skybox and your ships themselves should be barely illuminated. Of course game balance>pretties but would certainly like to see a degree of light scaling dependent on distance.

yep, and if you are behind a planet, there should be just shadows and darkness on your ship and the asteroids

I'd like to see the 'flicker' issue fixed as well. At certain angles the sun turns itself off, then it flicks on and off constantly. it means that I almost can't play the game with the sun on my screen.

In a huge system such as Jasson, where the sun can be 100AU away from your ship...you should have a hard time even seeing the sun. And being in the shadow of a planet really should hide your ship in darkness...this would add some interesting moments when you are flying "instruments only"...and relying on your HUD for information.
