Hybrid Javelin vs Torpedo Javelin

Hybrid javelin = Reduced range higher damage.
Torpedo Javelin = Increased range reduced damage.

If brute force isn't working, you're just not using enough.

Please Note: Any advice given comes with the caveat that nothing will be suitable for every situation.

There's still a number of conflicts with naming conventions.

I could see where someone quickly searching for "javelin" in the hopes of finding long range ammo of any sort, would end up with the wrong bullets.

Just like doing a search for "Medium" to outfit their cruiser, would end up buying frigate lasers instead.

Some Dev Post years back said they mixed up Spike and Jav for rails.

Omen, Augoror, Scythe, Amarr Drones, Bounties, Blasters, Rockets, T2 SR Ammo for LR and SR Guns, Missile Penalties, Black OP's, 80% of T1 Frigates, Mining Barges, T1 Indies, Assault Ships, the Eagle, POS Interface, Engine Trails, Lag, Active Armor, Faction Warfare, Supercaps...

Lots of things that people have wanted looked at, lots of things they are finally looking at, maybe they will change it, maybe they have some nostalgic connection to the name. They are changing weapons names so maybe soon, maybe not.

I see the argument for holding off on adjusting weapons but just changing the name I don't see any reason not to do it like, right now.
