Can anybody say whether there is a real reason to train this beyond Level 1. There doesn't appear to be a T2 Launcher, there are no specilisation follow on skills. Neither Stealth Bombers or Bombs require the skill and the Bomb Launcher 1 only requires Level 1.

Each level reduces the reactivation time (Rate of Fire) by 5%. The base reactivation time is 160 seconds, so each level reduces this by 8 seconds to a minimum of 120 seconds.

Stealth Bombers don't sit on grid, not even for 2 minutes, cranking out bomb salvos, it is one bomb and away. So training those extra 4 levels on a Tier 4 skill, to gain a 32 seconds Rate of Fire bonus on what is essentially a one shot weapon seems daft.

Lockbreaker bomb requires lvl3
Void Bomb requires lvl4

Not sure if those are used often or not.

They're situational but if used properly can be even more devastating than damage bombs.

Unfortunately most people don't train up their bomb deployment skill so it's harder to get a squad of bombers using ewar bombs

true.... a sortie of void bombs thrown into a squad of enemy logistics ships followed by a sortie of damage bombs can really screw up an enemy fleet.... cap n zap them
