I've had a small horde of these laying around for like forever that I was saving for a rainy day but for the last several months the price has been dropping steadily. I remember them being at or near 200k isk but now at about 65k and dropping with no bottom in sight and I've given up hope for a rebound. I find this a bit unusual with all the inflation with minerals and everything else. Are they spawning more or has the demand gone soft? I gave up salvaging long ago and I don't do any market or industry stuff so I'm at a loss why this is happening. Any market savvy person care to explain why this is?

Armor plates are one of the components needed for many of the most popular rigs. My guess is someone dropped a bunch of stock driving the price down. Be patent they will come back up.

Salvage drops where fixed to cut back to bottle necks a little some time ago. they will probably never get back up to 200k but 65k seem very low to me. I can see them bouncing back to a little over 100k.

Any salvage stuff won't bounce back until forever or CCP drastically changes the salvage table. Reason is simple = Noctis. The introduction of the Noctis was the 3rd biggest impact on the economy in a long time. Biggest impact was the Technetium change 2nd one getting rid of the drone poo.
The Noctis was the main reason i quit trading any meta stuff and switched completly to faction and deadspace.
