Why no more search for corp ticker?

A few patches and upgrades back, you used to be able to search for corps based only on their corp ticker. Now that option is gone. Does anyone know why?

They pull a knife, you pull a gun. He sends one of yours to the hospital, you send one of his to the morgue. That's the Chicago way! Did I mention, I used to live in Chicago?

Maybe so people would remember you by your corp name, and not the ticker?

It was when they were revamping the people & places search. You can still input the corp ticker in a corporation search and get the corporation as a result, though. Smile

Since the search results are automaticly divided by search types, you can alternatively simply seach by ticker in the any category and just open the result tab you were interested in.

I brought this up in a GM petition & GM said CCP was going to bring the option back... i seem to recall though the petition was last year & so I guess it should be filed as Soon(TM) along with the Wing commander geting leetboosts Ugh
