Hacking/Analyzing/Salvaging in WH

Hey guys,

Im planning to start exploring WH soon, probably C1 to 3 and I would be with a couple friends. I'd play in cov ops to scan for plexes and open the cans but I can't find a crucial info: how much do I need in hacking/archeology/salvage to open cans in WH plex?

Side question: are 2 BC enough to do C3 magneto/radar?

Already checked both pdf in the stickies but couldn't find anything about the required level in those skills.

At minimum codebreaking/analyzing should be at 4, for higher class sites you will either need to fit the appropriate rigs to your ships, or get the skills to 5.

get salvage to 4 (you definately need to salvage everything), probably bump it to 5 if you have a salvaging toon.
get archeology to 4.
dont bother with hacking, WH radar cans are almost worthless.

Really? I've pulled over 100mil out of C3 radar cans. I've consistantly pulled 50mil+ out of them (the occasional 6mil dud happens too).

Realistically you should have the relevant skills at 4 as you're really vulnerable when you're salvaging/hacking/etc. You want this process to go as fast as possible.

Having an alt with the skills at 5 means T2 salvagers.analyzers/codebreakers and things go significantly faster. This is a really, really good thing.

You really don't want to salvage in a cov ops. Get a specialist ship and do it properly.

You're going to struggle running C3 profession sites with 2 BC's, no matter how skilled. I'm rubbish at maths, but I really think you're going to maximise your income in C2's.

Sum Olgy is spot on.

C1/C2 : BC x 2 is more than sufficient.
C3 : BC x 2 might be a little thin unless really well skilled. T3 Cruiser x 2 would be far more efficient in a C3.

As for salvaging, get a dedicated salvager in a Noctis with salvaging rigs (as many as you can) and the T2 tractors and T2 salvagers. This makes the process very quick (and profitable).
I've not had stellar luck in WH Mags or Radars as far as the loot cans go. I ran them regardless because there would be a lot of sleeper wrecks to salvage.

TL/DR - with BC x 2 a C2 will most likely be the sweet spot.

i kinda doubt it considering you get around 50mil from a C5 radar site.
sure, occasionally you'll get a good stack of caldari decryptors but youre almost always better off just running the next site.

PS: i suppose the prices could have gone up a lot recently, it's been a few months since ive hacked cans.

I have no reason to lie. I will say there are 2 different radars. One has 10 cans and I generally seem to have good luck on those. I would say that one averages 30-50mil and I have hit 100mil at least once (yes it was a good run on caldari decryptors). The other site has 6 cans I think and it does much worse. That one typically is maybe 6mil.

That being said I have a dedicated codebreaker setup with rigs so it hacks very quickly. Since the site is being salvaged anyhow the codebreaker is generally done very quickly.
