Video games came from the United States in terms of invention.

Coinops (I believe) also came from the 'states, and probably home consoles also.

What I do recall vividly, is that the United States 'buried' the market they created and the only thing which saved it from oblivion was the Japanese console boom, with a fat Italian plumber as the mascot, leading the field.

Can you say "Atari video game burial" ?

Got to be one of the greatest unsubstantiated urban video game myths - right next to Hilmar's Lambo.

... and Ubisoft is apparently french ? Looking at the list of studios they seem to come from all over the world ...

On the claim that video games are a US invention, that's probably right.

See, thats what I like about Panama, booth babes for any kind of these events are not only needed but the main attraction of said events (housing, car sales, electronic expos, you name it) and if you know how to ask, you can pay them between 100 to 500$ for a small private "expo" afterwards.

Anyway, you have to look more at where the game developer is, not where the publisher is. The ideas and gameplay come from the game developer. The guts to publish it or not come from the publisher.

Yea, Screw the games! I want to see the girls because they are awesome. The shouldn't even have games there at all. I'm tired of seeing skinny and fat nerds and games mixed in with ladies in bikinis. They need to get rid of all that extra crap and jsut have to the ladies. They could call it Bikini-Con.

As I typed this out I realize that they already have this kind of convention. It's called "Spring Break" in Cancun, Mexico....

I know right. There needs to be like a bi-annual event the takes place in northern and southern hemispheres alternating for each's summer times.


On another note, they could just do away with the nerds and train the booth babes about the games and to answer any question they come across. I'm also willing to bet the sales would increase atleast 50% across the board for all games.
