These forums keep eating my post Evil so i'll keep this short and sweet.

I wanted to know if it is possible (and legal) to pull my rendered EVE character from the client and then upload the wire frame into blender for a "Clear Skies" type EVE movie. I have seen it done with ships on other websites and TBH I have no idea how they do that either. Is it possible with full character toons as well?

Anyways, if it is possible (and legal) I would like to know how.

As i understand it, there is no character mesh saved anywhere.

Your character is a base mesh with modifiers applied to it. The game doesn't load your character mesh, but it loads that base mesh and applies the modifiers you specified during creation - Your character only exists as a mesh when it's actually loaded and on-screen.

If you want to do this i think the best thing is to just ask CCP directly - info@ccpgames.com i believe?

If you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all...

Many people have tried and failed to find a way to make this work.
There is currently a massive thread loaded with dead weight meta-trolls trying to figure out the file structure of the different unknown file types.

What I have yet to see is anybody intelligent enough to figure out a way to import character models or anything for that matter into Maya. Right now the only progress comes from script kiddies who can't afford Maya. (Maya is free if you are/or ever have been an arts student).
