Its quite intermittent and there is no client side trigger.
I'm also not sold on this being an individual's ISP either.

If I were to guess, I would suggest it to be EvE's UK t'internet partner.

Please fix.

It has nothing to do with your internet provider, I am in the US and having the same problem, Its the EVE client is the only thing affected and started for me shortly after the inferno patch

If you run Ping Plotter you will see there are massive problems.

http://www.pingplotter.com/download.html

87.237.38.200

The IP address above is for EVE put that into Ping Plotter and you will see why you can not play the game.

Come on Devs fix this problem.

Same here, BT is my ISP and I have no problem with anything I've tried except EvE and the official forums.

Getting this posted has taken quite some time, has CCP incurred the wrath of the Hamster Liberation League?

Hey ppl,

And another one here... last 24hours have been a nightmare. I'm with BT, but I am almost certain that it does not have anything to do with the loss of connection and "socket closing". My other internet based games are working fine.

Why is it that when you really wanna play EVE, it doesn't work /0\.....

I did look at the Ping Plotter, but don't understand it hmmmmm... where is a man in the house when you need em grrrrrr

HOPE YOU GET TO SORT IT OUT SOON CCP :/

Have we received a single word from EvE's tech department?

Soon, I'm going to be claiming game time back - no service, none what-so-ever.

**EDIT**
Apparently the chances are it's far more likely to be one of the hops owned by BT that it is at fault.
Apologies if that is the case CCP - I won't be claiming nothing then... :-)

Still, it would be nice to get an official word from them...

The transport has not yet been connected, or authentication was not successful. Shocked what does that mean lolz ccp.... changing the "socket closed" option cos it sounds better the other way P

Awesome socket close last night while roaming, worthless to say we were from all over the place and actually happened to some from same country but not all.

We were 3 Fr 2 socket close, 3/4 American friends 1 socket close, a couple brits friends all except one got socket close, germans/aussies/ruskies friends and other countries etc all the same stuff.
We could relog after a couple try (about 2 or 3 mins latter)
