Graphic Issues Anyone?

I recently started playing this game and have been completely bewildered about why my graphics are so much lower than those random videos on youtube. I have every setting on High, all the boxes for effects marked and still my graphics pale in comparison. Here is an example of the type of graphics I am looking at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jXZK0boBQ88. I have plenty of processing power/graphic card to handle it but I can't seem to find out how to update them to that level. My graphics drivers are up to date, and I am sure I have checked the main section for graphics in game. Some of the main things that seem to be missing are the effects on combat animations. (no missile explosion animation, no projectile tracer animation, etc..). The rendering of the ships are relatively dull compared to the videos. Is there a way to change the resolution or something? Does anyone else have a similar problem as I do?

My graphics are crap but that's because I am forced to play EVE on a £400 laptop instead of the £2000 Super Computer that it deserves.

When in game press escape you'll be brought to a bunch of menus and you can alter graphics accordingly. Sounds to me like yours are set to quite low.

Have you modified your own drivers settings for EVE?

I have all the settings in the client set to max, however I can improve them again using the settings in the, in my case, Nvidia control panel for the Eve client, overriding and pushing the AA etc higher.

To respond to you guys, the link goes to an image of my graphics, I do not play windowed by the way, I just couldn't figure out print screen and paint without it being on windowed. Is there anything in game I can do with those settings besides pushing my anti-aliasing to high which doesn't help anyways?http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q721/Sam_Thomas1930/Graphics_zpsda746502.png

I should also mention, my resolution is 1920x1080 normally or w/e it would be fullscreen.

Check your GTX card settings (in windows - not in game)
Make sure all the goodies are on.

Upgrade your hardware from pencil and paper to something actually worth playing on.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Can you give us an example of how the game actually looks?

For the longest time I had my graphics card force lower settings and forgot about it. I was lost about why my textures looked so bad too

The combat animations are just non-existent it seems or at least seem to run at a lower setting even though I have everything running at high. Missile explosion effects don't occur, (see the youtube video I posted early for what I am referring to that is not happening), Projectile ammo tracer effects are not there (see youtube video again). I posted a screen of what my graphics are set to so its not like I can raise them in game any higher. It almost appears as if there is a registry edit to force the resolution higher and that is what is occurring in those youtube videos.

No registry hacks are required to get missile explosions, tracer animation or missile trails. It's not an Eve problem as such, it's definitely on your end.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
