Title says it all really, just occured to me if it's a scaled down sleeper AI maybe they leave in the ability to ECM them?

Does it matter? All the NPCs using the old AI come in groups of dozens against your one ship with no advanced tactics, so what's the point of using ECM on them?

Actually, you can ECM them just fine.
Use the right racial.

And in WH. use any racial specific jammer.

And I don't see why AI would change ship basic sensor strenghts, etc.
I'm going to assume that ECM will work as good, or as bad as it works now.
I've not read anything to suggest a change in e-war mechanics against NPC's.

The closer NPC's get to performing like player ships in all aspects (weapons range, firepower, ECM use, ECM vulnerability, speed, tactics, fleet composition, DRONE USE) the better.

Ideally the fit you use to go after them should be identical to a fit you would use to PVP similar ships with.

In fact, there needs to be a general trend towards few NPC ships in missions that are MUCH tougher than they currently are and have proportionately larger bounties.

If a template needed to be made, make that NPC run ships stats as if a character with the minimum skills to fly the ship with that load out was the pilot.

If a player piloted version of the NPC ship is not available, create it... and preferably make it available to the players. Smile

That was pretty much their stated goal. They just have to do it in stages, which means they'll have to redesign every mission, mission arc, plex, etc. as well. If you think running the missions are boring, imagine going through and redesigning them all.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.
