Buy freighter now or wait?

I would say: wait.
Many ships are still holding pricess from pre Mining Barges buff despite mineral pricess drops about 50% since patch already.
( Hurricanes are still holding 43m ISK mark to while building costs are drops to ~20m for example)
It's just market lag.
Don't take a producer fail investment costs on your back.
Frieghter shouldn't be more expensive than 900m now compared to pre patch profit margins.

Freighter margins are good right now, but the cost is not even close to 900m. Providence costs ~1320m to produce and the market price is 1589m. Assuming you own all BPOs. For Charon it's 1300 vs 1615.

While it's good time to be producing freighters, most likely as someone else already said due to increased demand from miners, and the prices are likely to drop, you will save at most 100-200mil. I don't see any reasons for minerals to decline.

Also - Hurricane 20mil?? WTF? Current build cost with fairly researched BPO is 43-44mil.

Summary: kids, don't post stuff you don't understand.

and with the goonie suicide ganks going on, its a pretty safe assumption that freighter prices will go up soon enough.

Just don't count on double-wrapping saving you from ganking, people will see the double wrap and assume you have valuable stuff and kill you regardless so in a sense it's even worse than exposing the cargo.

Ganker tears at discovering a courier with a package worth 200mil is its own special reward. Double wrap FTW.
