Why do EvE Players complain non stop ?

It's a fairly simple answer.

Their wives/girlfriends/husbands/boyfriends don't listen to them, because the time they could spend listening to their wives/girlfriends/husbands/boyfriends is expended by playing eve.

As a result; they have a need to complain and generally gripe 'bout stuff, because you gotta shake the day off.

I think mostly it's part of geekdom culture.

No experience in their youth regrading relationships, so spend their adult life fuckin' them up.

Listen to your partner. When you need to gripe, don't come the forums and start up about some meaningless bs in a computer game: talk to your partner instead.

If you've listened to your partner (minimum 30mins a day) then they will listen to you.

If you don't have a partner, wtf are you doing reading this post?

Switch off the computer and sort your life out. And no, googling "sort your life out" doesn't cut it.

Dunno which days you play on, I see far more than that in my prime. And since early 2007 when I joined the game the numbers online have steadily risen, there was a dip when teh incarna thing hit but it rose again and will continue to rise.

Stop complaining.



You wanna play dates? Started the game three days after launch. Knave been everything seen it all, made and lost billions, and yes I do blame who is the cause.

A friend of mine, just getting into eve, is in a small highsec mining corp, currently wardecced by goon sponsored(ie ISk backed) corp. Harassed, all of em noobs, no one's logging in, and he and others are letting their sub lapse any playing Gw.

Add to that the goonswarm tactics, exploiting convoy requests in fights, launching jetcans to lag home fights, need I truly go on?

When most of null is blue to one another. Yes, I know you are fighting PL, and the goons are fighting NC.
But fundamentally, there is far more peace in null than there was 18 months ago.

The thing killing this game is not CCP over-protecting high sec, but just the opposite.

Plus, Null is a peacefest, so not as many chars needed to maintain null sov.

Couple that with the null griefers, namely goons, being bored and attacking high sec players with Hulkageddon and ice interdiction, and their cohorts in CCP trashing high sec income, and you have perfect storm of people not renewing subs.

I just smile sadly when I read all the nutty logic where the null sec zealots suggest that by wiping out high sec income and allowing the griefers full reign to gank in high sec will increase subs.

I never said that we do not need new players at all. I said its the whiny type of ppl we do not need, the ones who want high sec to be 100% safe, the ones who just joined the game, train the fotm ship and whine when it gets balanced. The ones who whine when they get suicide and complain about how unfair the game is and want to get the game mechanics changed in their favour, without taking a look at the bigger picture and just ragequit when they do not get what they want anyway.

Yes, don't you just hate it when null sec people whine about the new AI and then CCP rolls backs the new AI changes so they don't affect plex structures.

EvE is dying because it's a 9 year old game that, minus the minor graphics updates, still has essentially the same content it did 9 years ago.
No major PvE content overhauls, no major world content added.
Incursions were just the same thing...blow up red x's.
WH's were just more blow up red x's with the addition of you might get blown up by red boxes.
PvE is boring and uninspiring.

PvP...is the same, boring and uninspiring.
Null: Blobs, ISK Moguls hiding behind endless resources and more blobs.
Low sec: is a waste of space.

Ship re-balancing should be a precursor to major content additions , but it wont be. It's all there is.
For more endless, pointless combat. 9 years....9 years of stagnating game design and dwindling player subs.
What is the answer to all this?

Does CCP buckle down, and start devoting time and effort into polishing up EvE? Re-texturing and remodeling the endless amounts of ancient world props that are outright butt ugly? Populate the world with strange and beautiful celestial phenomena?
Make the NPCs come alive with npc faction ai near stations and gates...doing npc stuff? Blinking ads on gates encouraging players to join faction warfare..or to try new spicy protein delicacies? Fix the damn hit boxes? Give more ships unique hulls so they aren't just re-textures? And that's just part of the graphics/world design...to go into other categories...would take ages. So anyways, is this what CCP does?

Nope.

They dump millions into DUST.
A unknown IP into a already crowded and aging FPS market.
Is DUST going to unseat Call of Doody? No.
Is DUST going to unseat all the other FPS games that are well known and have a dedicated player base? No.

The link says more about it than I ever could.

The player base is the only thing that keeps EvE interesting.
EvE itself is nothing more than a machine to endlessly make and explode ships.

I complain because EvE could easily be a attractive world filled with eye candy and rich content to attract new players and keep old players entertained and encouraged by the loving care their game is getting...instead of 6 month development times to add 4 ships and 1 re-model and change some of the numbers around.
Other MMOs add entire new worlds to their game in 6 months...what could have happened to EvE with focused development...and all of the cash that went into DUST?
