While i have nothing against the GOONS nor mittani i do find the whole concept of having someone who's sole purpose is to ruin this game to represent the players to be quite disturbing. I guess the better solution would be to ensure that everyone actually goes to the voting booth. I doubt someone like mittani would be elected for such a job ever again.

How is the Mittani and the Goons trying to ruin this game? From everything I've read, the Mittani is trying to improve the game mechanics for everyone that plays. Now, the Goons on the other hand, their sole purpose is to scam and grief, and with a 6000+ member count, they're not ruining the game, but enjoying themselves.

And I doubt anyone like you would ever make it to the CSM position in the first place. -1 for you for not knowing what you talk about.

From what i've read ruining the game is what being a GOON is all about. and to be honest, their actions reflect that pretty well. Now off course in the harsh EVE world it is considered as "the daily stuff" however when an alliance is dedicated to doing that one must ask himself if you truly want those to represent the players.

Because 'tis a silly thread where you grouse about the CSM. So this is an appropriate spot for it.

Maybe if you had actually tried to discuss those questions, it would have been suited for General Discussion, but alas, you couldn't, wouldn't, and didn't… so it wasn't, and here we are.

When I learned about the political aspect of EVE I fell in love with this game... With that said....

I hate Sarah Palin

However, Mittani is not Sarah Palin. He actually does things about the obvious stuff. He did NOT leave his powerful post of the THA Goonmaster (sounds more catchy than CEO of goons) just so he could do more things as a "Private Citizen". The Highsec Ice interdiction (IMO a high quality manuver ) was possible because he actually cared about something and does something to combat the problem.

He is a CSM with POWER and he USES it. From what I hear and read, he has done good things for NullSec as a whole.

Has he or his alliance ever benefitted me? No.

Did I vote? No. I had no skin in the game with 1 month in the game. Will I vote next time? Yes, and Mittani will get my vote, should he run again.

Ugh... I got this really bad feeling in my stomach about this post... I just wrote a GOOD post about a Goon.... I gotta go take a HUGE dump.....

How do they ruin the game? Do they go against the EULA? Nope. Then they don't ruin the game. They may, however, ruin YOUR gaming experience, because you want something risk free, but unfortunately for you and those like you, its not against the EULA.

You've said that 3+ times now, and yet you always respond to Tippia. I'm beginning to think that you need Tippia, that you want Tippia, because somewhere deep down you know how lame you really do sound.

Interesting sentence fragment. Have you considered adding a predicate and maybe an object? If you're going to use the gerund as a subject (together with that very fancy use of the possessive pronoun where most people would have used a personal one instead), you really need to add the other phrases to create a complete clause.

Me boring myself is… what? (Assuming, of course, that I am boring myself, which isn't true, but still…)

Ok. They're all on the old forum, so you can't reply to them anyway.

While we're here, though, maybe you can answer a few questions in relation to your OP:
• How is the CSM corrupt?
• Where's the abuse?
• How is it connected to their “positions of trust”?

In what way is Mittani's sole purpose to ruin the game? That's the most foolhardy, strawman-filled nonsense I've read today, which is impressive cause I did in fact load EN24.

Sorry to say this, but The Mittani and the cartoon caricature of The Mittani you little pubbies have in your imaginations are not one and the same. He loves this game enough that he was willing to put his entire life on hold just to go to CCP's HQ and try to stop the Jita riots. If he didn't like the game, he would have been out in force in the gaming media throwing gas on the fire.

Listen, just because the big bad goonies destroyed your ice miner bot, it doesn't mean they want to destroy the game. In fact, as I'm pointed out several times in this thread, if you love this game, you'd be out destroying and reporting ice miner bots too. They are the cancer that is killing EVE, just like they were the cancer that all but killed Asheron's Call.

To The Mittani in particular - the chairman of the CSM

You know there are other areas of space in Eve which require attention in the same manner Highsec has been receiving your love. Don't be biased to just Highsec Empire space. Just take one look at the Sov map, you know what I'm speaking of. This current campaign is a tiny drop in the ocean of Space - there are far bigger fish to fry and I suspect that is your endgame. This campaign is the first domino in your grand plan. Will you be posting the particulars for that, or do you deem it a secret to keep your real enemies in the dark ?

Peace out.

I would like to see the CSM implement an E-HONOURE System that rewards honoureable actions.

Here's an example of how it might work:
  • Taking Eve seriously is worth 1 point.
  • Putting o7, m8s, and gf in chat unironically is worth 3 points.
  • Forever living in High Sec is worth 5 points.
  • Posting on the EO forums in an honoureable fashion is 7 points.
  • And creating a detailed back story or bio is 10 points.

So when you reach a certain number of points someone from CCP shows up at your front door to an take action related to how many points you have.

4 Points: Counseling. Experts work with you through intensive therapy sessions to find and address the root cause of your illness.
6 Points: Rehabilitation. In patient centers designed to deal with your sickness can in some cases return you to a productive and healthy existence.
8 Points: Isolation. There is no hope. It's best that you're completely isolated from the rest of humanity to limit their exposure.
10 Points: Drastic Measures. You'll disappear into an unmarked shallow grave. It's better this way.

now this, gentlemen, this is a post
