Impending visit from the Guristas

We've heard there've been some rough goings-on in Orpana - at least one planet having suffered a sudden outbreak of short-lived but heavy combat. Of course the Guristas extend their deepest sympathies to those innocents dragged into the horrors of war and hope that they can recoup from their losses as quickly and painlessly as possible.

In the meantime, though, we intend to pay them a visit. Help clean up. Remove any detritus, garbage, unsafe technologies and anything else that might be in their way on the battlefield now that all the action is over. We don't require any thanks for our efforts, only that the local citizenry stay out of the way while we comb through the affected areas and extract anything that might be of use to us. While we certainly don't wish to add undue harm and suffering to what is already a deeply unpleasant situation for all involved, we would like to note that any opposition, whether on the surface or in planetary orbit, will be met with the requisite force.

Your missive has been noted and appropriate capsuleer authorities notified. Your status as criminals within the State, to my knowledge, marks you as targets of opportunity and therefore liable to capsuleer retaliation to this brazen declaration. It is my sincere hope that the collective firepower of both State loyal and opportunistic capsuleers forces you to reconsider such actions in future, core-territories are no place for detritus such as Guristas and their known affiliates.

Surface to orbital transport permitting (due to my current obligations on the surface), I shall be among them, pointing the way back to Venal with extreme prejudice.

We of TS-F would like to wish our friends in the Gurristas the best of luck in the coming conflict, which will no doubt be a difficult one. We hope you find what you're looking for amongst the remains of this clusters unfortunate tendency towards open and overwhelming violence.

In short; Stick it to the state, boys and girls. We appreciate the efforts.

Ahh the Guristas, garbage cleaners of New Eden, did not realise that vocation was part of your raison d'etre.

With a personal -9.8 standing to your faction I guess you won't mind me dropping by to say "Hi" (with my auto cannons).

I am sure that the Guristas, long time advocates of borderline anarchistic rebellion against the State that many of them formerly called home, appreciate the support of a cyber-fetishistic organisation dedicated to unilateral assimilation of all societies, cultures and individuals into a madman's dystopian hell.

Any affirmation or appreciation for your statement by any organisation is further indictment of their lack of redeeming qualities and the rightful judgement of their peers of them being unsuited to membership in civilised society.

You are a disappointment Tiberious, not in your lack of vision, ability or creativity, but for your singularly horrific misuse of every virtue you have or had.

As for you Okoro-guri, I hope your benefactors in Venal have the clone tubes warmed up.

You are giving out intel on public forum for other capsuleers, to help you "remove any detritus, garbage, unsafe technologies" like Angel Cartel, i heard they were really active recently or the Empire capsuleers that may cause problems too depending what there agenda is.

Have you been following me?What?

It's no use going back to yesterday, because I was a different person then, and it's a poor sort of memory that only works backward.

I didn't know your usual romantic swashbuckler image got passe so quickly.

The question is, Ninavask, "Why does SYNE care?"

Is the Guristas cleaning up a mess considered a big problem?

Edit: Basically, I am curious as to what SYNE feels its purpose here is. Even your opposition to Nation was rooted in scientific endeavor along with objection to what we represent. What do the Gurista have to do with SYNE's mission statement? Or are you retooling yourselves to simply be "Pro-CONCORD"?

To quote directly from their mission statement....

SYNE Mission Statement Excerpt wrote:
SYNE ... is one of the few corporations able - or desiring - to conduct business with government agencies, pirate cartels, smugglers, and private individuals on a regular basis.

Could be that either they are diverging from their mission statement and it needs amending. Or that they have an exception to Gurista's based possibly on their closeness to them physically in space. Maybe there have been hostilities between the two that make them an exception to SYNE's willingness to deal with 'pirates'. Either would be understandable as a reason for the vehement opposition to the Gurista's operating openly on anything in Empire space.

Because to be perfectly honest, this sort of thing that they are saying they are doing sound more like Sisters, not Gurista. I can't blame groups that oppose the Gurista's for being first in line to try to stop them in Orpana.

While the Guristas themselves may have little to do with the current internal operations of CEIM or SYNE and while such specifics are not likely to be revealed to a known enemy of the organisations, We of Unit Commune do believe that unspecified and potentially 'dangerous technologies' are best kept out of the hands of known criminal or terrorist organisations.

The question is, Thessalonia, why do you care?
You might want to check your emotion suppressor again - this reeks of hurt feelings.

Regarding the topic at hand:

Needless to say, we will keep an eye on this situation.

I don't particularly care what the Gurista get up to; I was wishing them well, though. I'm just confused at what SYNE is doing, because this doesn't match their stated MO.

Is anyone truly fooled by this cheap bit of acting? Anyone remotely familiar with Guristas SOP will know that this is a simple plundering run, the vultures once again preying on the carrion of war. And possibly a baited trap to the righteous, as well, whose anger at this outrage blinds them to the possibility as they charge into battle.

The only thing worse than an enemy of the State is one too arrogant and moronic to keep his mouth shut. This missive has only served to bring down the fury of those with a strong enough character to serve the Caldari State and their allies.

I'm very very pleased you've asked Mr Thessalonia.

We are aware of the issues concerning our MO, which is why all your answers can be found by reading our latest Mission Statement on our normal page. Which should adress any other concerns other than the fact that the Guristas (as evidenced by your enthusiasm for their activity) are close allies to Sansha's Nation.

In short, we have operated under certain informal principles and objectives for some time, however now we have an opportunity to put them into serious practice, so that's when it became neccessary to make our official position clearer.

We of course understand that not doing this sooner may have caused you and others some confusions, and apologise for not acting sooner, but rest assured, this new MO will not interfere with previous objectives.

I would appreciate it if any other enquiries or concerns were done by mail, as this is something of a sidetrack to the issue in question.

Unit Commune has always followed a specific set of Directives pilot Thessalonia.
In many cases those Directives coincide with those of CONCORD.

However, Unit Commune is not SYNE. It appears you have mistakenly come to the conclusion that the corporations are one and the same.

Please refer to Pilot Makari's responses for data regarding SYNE.
