If a order has been issued to "fire at will" at some target, WHY don't the gunners (or who the heck is responsible for reloading the things) continue to fire once the gun has been reloaded?

Makes absolutely no sence that we have to push the fricking gun to continue to fire...

Think about it:

AB: Captain, the SS Blucher is still floating and starting to hit us back!
Captain: Are we still shooting at her?
AB: No!
Captain: Why not?
AB: Because the gunners had to reload...
Captain: Are they finnished reloading?
AB: Yes...
Captain: THEN WHY THE HALL ARE WE NOT FIREING???
AB: Coz they a bunch of dumbarses sir....

ps. No I did't get killed or some such, but sometimes.... Just fricking sometimes when your fingers are all greasy from the pizza or whatever it would be nice to just watch as the other ship goes down in flames as I intended it to do without greasing up your function keys or mouse due to something which has to be a bug or missing feature.
