Hey Guys from CCP.

I all ready wrote an in-game petition, but the GM told me to go here because he cant help me. So i do now Blink.

A few days ago I decide to buy a HD7970 and two more of my 1680x1050 monitors... EVE supports the 5040x1050 resolution without any trouble! But now one characteristic of EVE becomes pesky...

I talk about this permanent camera movement in a station and in space. (I do not mean the warp shaking effect.) The camera moves like an 8, lying on the side. With 1680x1050 the ship moves around for 0,5cm, thats OK so far. But with 5040x1050 my ship moves around 2cm! After a while i feel like ShockedUgh... Also the icons from planets, stations etc move around in space. Sometimes i click in space instead clicking the icon.

Side story: Because of that movement the edges of the ship becomes flashy too. Antialiasing is reducing it but with 8x or 16x the FPS rate sometimes drop under 20 FPS.

My question now is: Can you make an option where the players can switch off or reduce this effect? Or just give me a start line command or something to switch it off CoolPLEASE, with sugar on it!

In my opinion there are 2 benefits when camera is fixed: More FPS and less Shocked for Eyefinity users!

To all EVE player reading this: buy yourself Eyefinity. You get an unbelievable EVE-periance and you can see space (really!) and not only windows Lol. And when CCP fix the camera movement it becomes awesome!

Thanks, Thomas...

Or, save yourself the headache from having absolutely terrible drivers and buy nvidia. The price to power ratio between the two is obviously in favor for nvidia.

Don't like camera shake all the time. Can we get a option for this?

I'M NOT ALONE!!

Seriously, I thought I was the only one. When I came back to eve this time is was with 2 additional monitors and I thought I was going crazy not being able to quickly click on stuff in space.

And why does that ship need to bob around so much? And why doesn't unchecking "Camera Shaking" in the options affect this as well?

Off Topic: Regarding nVidia: Eyefinity does actually work better than nVidia Surround. And you have nVidia Surround on a single card because of AMD/ATI.

They both make great cards, how about we all act a little more appreciative of the real competition in this market that helps to drive performance increases at awesome prices? (compared to the CPU situation where competition is effectively nil).

Sadly I can only afford 2 monitors so Eve + Eyefinity with only 2 monitors really bites. Would be nice to have one screen as the 'primary' screen, with ship in the middle, then all your menus open on the second screen. Sadly not an option or if it somehow is, I don't know how to make it happen.

I have to add to the 'drop the brand bashing'. This is not a driver issue, it is how Eve is actually programmed. The movement is part of the immersion of keeping space alive and not static, since you won't see trees blowing in the wind or any other such movement. I really have had no driver issues and I have been running ATI for about 6 years.

I may not like you or your point of view but you have a right to voice it.

In the options you can add a ship offset so that it's centered in one of your two screens. I'll try to find a link.

Edit:

http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/User_interface

There are seven settings tabs, each handling different aspects of the game.

Display & Graphics

Under the graphics tab, you can edit your display setting, graphical effects and specific graphic content settings. You can set your display adapter, color depth and resolution, and also switch between windowed, Fixed Window Mode and fullscreen mode. You can specify which effects you wish to see, and under Graphic Content Settings you can edit advanced features such as shader quality, texture quality, and anti-aliasing.

If you select the "Fixed Window Mode" option, the client window will take the current resolution that has been set for the client, but will no longer have any window decoration (title bar, borders etc.) The window will be fixed in the upper left corner of the windows desktop on the display adapter selected in the graphics setting and span from there. If you have set a full screen resolution before switching to this mode, the client feels like full screen, but you will be able to easily switch between windows without the client minimizing like it does in full screen mode. Done right, you can have one client per display at full screen resolution of the according display without the need to manually shift client windows around.

Camera Center. The center point for the main camera in the EVE client (the point where your ship is displayed by default and around which the view revolves when turning the camera) can now be moved to either the left or the right. This is especially useful when using more than one screen to move the ship and main view onto a certain display to avoid the ship being "cut through" in the middle.
