I read fitting ECCM will make it nearly unscannable but what grav ECCM's exactly, thanks.

Tengu is Caldari, Caldari use Gravmetric targetting, and no ships are unscannable anymore - may be difficult, but not impossible.

Forgive the n00bish question, but I'm sure other n00bs will have read that and wondered so I'll be a brave boy and ask Blink

Scanning down - does this mean the action of hostile players trying to search for your ship using probes so that they can locate and attack you?

Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose

yes

@topic: iirc, a tengu can be fit to be virtually unscannable, as in 'you need perfect skills and billions in implants and equip to scan it down within 10 minutes'.

I should buy an Ishtar.

This.

The implants run around 2.5 billion and you need a bonused hull, with perfect skils and a LOT of probes. If you have your finger on the scan button at all they won't catch you.

......Issue is that after putting three ECCMs on you don't have a lot of room for tank.

You need two eccm and one sensor backup on the tengu to make it "nearly unscannable".

A Talon set should be of use here. I can't exactly recall the math (and am not yet curious enough to do it all over again) but Talon set should do just a bit better here than a Halo set (and the Talon set is much, much cheaper). Of course a Halo set also has other benefits....

With the proper skills, you only need two conjunctive grav eccm mods and the high grade talon

The Combat scanners are the ones that probe you down, core scanners are used to scan sites down, while your tengu might be all but unscanneble the site you're in can still befound.

On a side note, don't use a Tengu to run lvl 4 missions in low sec, plexes and Anomalies, usualy are better.

An other tip, fit that Nullifier prop sub system, and a covert op sub system, fit or scouting and make a few rounds to 0.0 those systems are usualy less populated than low sec. create a couple os safe spots and start plexing there.

I know using a nullifer works for any bubbles but you're still venerable to warp scrams/stabs but fitting warp stabilizers should counter this leaving you immune to any warp disruption...yes? I know it nerfs your DPS but if thats the price its better then getting blapped. Also if I do get blapped how many skill points do i lose, from what? Tengu skills only?

bad idea. very very bad idea. if you have stabs, you're just playing a game of who has more points.

Ok, noted, yeah i was thinking the same, solo pvp is no problem, problem is i am trying to avoid blobs, roaming/gate blobs ive had to run out of missions because of blobs.

When you're just scouting, fit nano's.

Covert-op/Nulifier it with nano's should get you through all but the very best, and very allert Gate camps.

Usualy they are only found at systems that enter /exit 0.0

once you're in 0.0 it usualy get more quiet.

(There are some rather quiet entry systems as well, though I leave it up to you to find them.)
