I have an idea for Missiles that won't cause everyone to ragequit

He just wants to use rails and blasters with the same weapon module. Totally balanced and logical. Obviously, missiles use their warheads as fuel.

Well technically, they could modify kinetic missile to ahve a little bit of extra range with lower damage since the missile should technically not stop existing when it run out fo fuel. Lower the speed gradually past the max flight tiem and the kinetic damage of the missile too.

But more importantly, could we fit a torpedo boat with full damage mods + MWD and open fire at ramming range for crazy gank power?

Strangely it's the changes to drones that upset me more. They are going to become pretty much useless in PVE, and in PVP they were already kinda situational.

Or just fit HAMs instead. God forbid you should have to use a short range weapon to deal high DPS.

If you ragequit over the missile changes, chances are either you :
- Haven't read Fozzie's post thoroughly (like seriously, half of those are missile BUFFS ffs!)
- Don't understand what those numbers means, hence back to #1
- should quit anyways, like seriously?

Missiles on a tengu should be effective. A fleet of them isn't a cheap undertaking and a loss significant. Nerf the Drake maybe but a missile change doesn't just affect 2 ships, but many.

Drones aren't changing. Lazy drone users might have to though.

Oh that.

From what we have seen so far NPC AI aggression vs your drones will be "slightly" higher than it is now. I don't think anybody is really going to know if this is going to be a serious issue until we can do a little testing. We should have plenty of time to ask for adjustments if needed before it goes live.

I'm much more focused on hoping the drone interface and controls get a revamp, to make drone use as quick and easy as other weapons systems are to use.

The issue is people don't use logic when CCP does something that people interpret as a nerf to their ship.
I had an argument with some corp members (us being a WH corp, most everyone flies tengus, including me), and the example I used regarding how powerful HML tengus are is, despite this character having better gunnery skills, my Tengu aproaches the range and damage of my Naga which uses battleship guns (worse when the ship came out I found it wasn't worth it till I got T2 guns, the HMLs in the tengu out-damage meta 4 450 rails.). The response I got bacl was that HMLs were obviously balanced then since they were doing similar range and damage to rails (both being long range weapons) totally ignoring that ome weapon system is for cruisers and the other is usually reserved for battleships.

I won't claim railguns to be the best weapon even after the buff, but damn.
