It's still boring. At least better than checking on 20 mackinaws...

Can use please explain to Vincent what I'm saying. You know what never mind. You can lead a horse to water.

Do not assume anything above this line was typed by me. Nerf the Truth, it's inconvenient.

That makes me sad Jim

Right! As Jim's alt how do you think I feel.

No.

HELL No.

I may be an Alt But I ain't Jim's Alt.

Damn right, you're my alt.

OP, piloting 2+ ships at once is done either via a command-copying program to fly identical ships (ISBoxer I think always gets mentioned), or by the non-primary clients being relegated to very simple tasks that don't require much micromanagement, but provide giant benefit. Some examples are off-grid boosts, cloaked Falcons ready to be used if things go south, tanks for a mission/complex, cyno ships, etc.

How am I supposed to be 2 people at once? That is ******* stupid.

Most people missed the point of my question. Yea i get dual boxing yada yada ****. I guess it was more of an RP question, which may be that this topic is in the wrong section or whatever.
Anyway, read through some posts, bleh.

Can't help but wonder, that's all.

Yea, probably wrong section of the forums, I'll post this topic in the RP section if I GOMLA

RP comes in afterwards. Training up multiple accounts has its obvious motives in a roles type game like EVE and role play isn't one of them. Creating multiple accounts is initially about functionality. Role playing them is an attempt to make the decision fun because if you aren't playing a game for fun, no amount of l33tness will help.

Generally when doing RP I only do one client. I have done more than one. It can get confusing, trying to do two personalities. Ive accidentally answered for character A while on client B, and so on. Then there is the practice of having a conversation between your two pilots. I guess its the same as writing a story with more than one character. You got to RP them all.

That is what I was saying, I don't really have to RP much as most everything about myself and Jim Era are the same...name, bigoted beliefs, attitude etc. So I find it stupid for people who have more than one account.

Its for lonely people.

May sound like a bad question, perhaps it is. But I was curious and I thought it would be interesting to think about such possibilities.

It's easy!

You first need to buy and train a monkey to use a computer and mouse. Just get him a cheap mouse, monkeys have trouble with scroll wheels anyway.

Teach the monkey to understand your commands, how to play Eve, and voila! Easy-peasy!
I can use scroll wheels just fine, stop being such a cheap prick.

Post with your monkey.

I've mined with 12 chars all on separate screens just to see if I could. The coordination and concentration required was a killer.

6 is much more manageable, I do it every day.

I don't use any fancy tools just a couple computers with a couple screens running multiple clients. I used to multibox parties with my wife via the same method in lineage 2.

Ok, Ok... I'll buy you a better mouse.

Never teach your monkey alt to read and write. It'll save headaches in the long run.

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

0/10. Not for trolling, but for asking a dumb question.

0/10 for being an ass to a newbie. Everyone was new once, and there's no such thing as dumb questions, only dumb answers (like yours).

OP has already been answered. Just thought someone should call you out for making this game a tiny bit worse for newbies to get into.

I like how OP is asking about how to explain possibility of "one person controlling two people at once" and getting answers on how to control two gaming clients.

OP, spice up your post properly and post it in the Intergalactic Summit, I'll answer you Blink
