I wonder If the devolpers would ever put in paint shops for the ships. You know, different multi-colored ships with decals or symbols. Kinda like WW2 pilots that would paint phrases or shark teeth on their planes. Just a thought.

Not sure if this topic should be here or in OOPE since it is directly EVE related.

I do as well. I just would like a little more personallation options so I can say "That's my ship!" besides just a name or a title on the ship.

I support paint shops only if they reset my GCC immediately upon new paint job.

A professional astro-bastard was not available so they sent me.

Well, aside from the fact that it would give CCP another opportunity to introduce more PLEX/micro transaction stuff... I kinda like the idea. Not totally free reign about colours/patterns/decals, mind you, but some predefined variations would be nice.

Umm, no. A paint job is just a physical appearance. You would still have all the digital ID markers and tags on your ship.

If we are to implement GTA style aesthetics we should include GTA style escape maneuvers.

As far as GTA goes, I didn't get he idea from GTA but I do see the references. I was actually taking avatar creation into account and I thought "If I can customize my avatar, why can't I customize the paint job on my ship?"

The whole GTA paint job system is broken anyways. The cops see you enter the paint shop in the first place. And, it only helps you escape from that current chase. In real life, you still have warrents for your arrest.

I support GTA style gameplay in EVE only if CCP adds more innocent bystanders, and hookers I can run over for instant refunds.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Also, just to point out, Your GCC is tied to the pilot, not the ship.

Edit: Now CCP could put in ID switch or Fake ID system to where criminals can pay ridiculous ISK to other players to circumvent the security system to get back into hisec.
